Is Off-Topic Discussions Evil?

I noticed that Ross or Gary moved a lot of "evil?" threads into off-topic discussions. I think this means the aura went from faint to moderate.

I guess we just need a paladin to come in and smite threads to find out for sure. It's the only way.

I think the move was extreme. I mean, clearly the joke threads were not where they were supposed to be (and I'll confess I played a part there) but given that people were asking if acts were evil in the context of the alignment system, it isn't really off-topic.

You could have phrased them as, "Would a paladin fall for doing X?" and it would have been very topical for Pathfinder general discussion.

I don't think an entire forum can be evil. At least not around here. Probably. In any case, we'd like these "is [blah] evil" threads to pass quietly into the archives sooner rather than later.
