Hyper linked character sheet

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Hey I don't lurk as much as I used to here but I just had a thought and wondered if anyone else had it or if someone has done it.
Has anyone made a hyper linked character sheet PDF with the pathfinder PDF's... So say if you right power attack in feats and you click on it will load up the core rules feat section page 131. Seems like it could be good really good infact.

I have no idea of how hard or easy this would be but I just wanted to know if anyone else had the idea and ran with it, if they did could I get a link please?

I've done this in pdf and in wiki. The Wiki was FAR easier to work with.

Just grab a copy of wikionastick and create a couple basic pages. You can copy the statblock format from the d20 site or make up your own.

Sweet as man. thank I will take a look but is there an offline version for the non wifi guy?

Wiki on a stick is intended for offline use. The whole idea behind it is that you throw it onto a USB thumb/flash drive and take it anywhere.

Of course, if you link from the Wiki to something online, you'll need an internet connection to view the page. As an alternative solution, you can always create an offline page of the feat within your own wiki and place a link from that page to the online version.

For example, Power Attack. Instead of linking directly from your wiki character sheet to "http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/power-attack-combat---final", you could link to a new page in the wiki that contains the text of Power Attack and a link.

Doing something like this would require that everyone conforms to the same naming convention and the PDFs existing in the same location & directory structure. Certainly possible, but it would require users to conform to the vision of the developer. Also, there could be different versions of PDFs (different printings) where everything doesn't align to specific pages. If that's not currently the case, it could certainly happen in the future.

Linking to something like the d20PFSRD would be nice, but wouldn't work for offline use (of course they do offer an offline version for download, but you'd need to keep it updated).
