So, I was reading The Defenders 'from the Vault' from Marvel Comics and there's a line where one of the characters mentions that he's been playing Pathfinder for three days straight, where previously I think they would have mentioned Dungeons & Dragons.
Pretty cool, huh? Pathfinder is making itself known in other geek-media!

Pathfinder is a safer choice. Dungeons & Dragons is also a title from a competing comic publisher. Hasbro is more likely to try to make a stink about trademark infringement than Paizo. Lisa, Vic & the gang are just as likely to geek out at the reference as the rest of us. Good news for Paizo, since it gives them free publicity.

That's pretty damn cool, but I wasn't aware that a current Defenders title is being published.

I think everybody in the office were geeking out about that. ^_^
Steve in Accounting wasn't.
On that note, does Steve even work here? He can't possibly be in the accounting department at every single place I've been. I think he's just using the "I'm in Accounting" shtick as a pick-up routine.

It's not an ongoing series (although there's hints that a new limited or - hopefully - ongoing series is starting in December). It's a one-shot of a previously forgotten story where they lost the script and Kurt Busiek had to come up with a script to fit the art. Apparently.
The new series hints can be seen here.
