My players want pirate action and they don't want to wait for the ap in 2012. they want a sandbox with various plot hooks for them to choose from. I know I can wing some of it and see what kind of backstory they choose, but I'm at a loss for. Good start.
So what are some good places and plots set in golarion for piratey adventuring sandboxness? As far as I can tell they'll be greedy fun seeking pirates and swashbucklers but not necessarilly bad guys. Also I think it's consensus that pirates of the carribean are like what they want and they somewhat expect guns and the like. So what are some good golarion based resources for a pirate game, and some good threads and plots to have in the background. Give all your pirate love!
Also any 3.x pirate goodies are welcome as convertible or mixable material. I already plan on using chunks of serpents skull for ideas and one shot chunks. Any other goodies?

my thoughts would be in Golarion:
Riddleport!!! like doh! and The Shackles. Buy the boats and ships map pack
other resources or games:
d20 Skull and Bones - decent core classes and some good prestige classes (This is real world 16th-18th century pirate rpg)
Freeport - loads of resource material there -
try this too: http://uk.ask.com/wiki/7th_Sea_(role-playing_game)
d20 Pirates! - not read this yet!!
d20 Dead Mans Chest - not read this yet!!
I'd already done my 'research' on this - both my sons have requested a piratey themed PF game over the summer
EDIT: also look into Cerulean Seas, a PFRPG compatible campaign setting - it's got tons of new water beasties and hints on underwater campaigns

How about the Savage Tide adventure path, the last AP published in Dungeon? There were also supporting articles in Dragon as well. The AP was published in Dungeon 139 - 150
3 of the issues are not available at this link, although one of them (the first issue of the AP) appears to be available in PDF. You may be able to find the missing issues from online dealers or eBay.Here is the link to the sub-forum about this AP -> Click here

I have all of savage tide, and will be mining it. same for riddleport and the first two books of second darkness. Freeports good too.
I'll check out the 7th seas stuff...

If you want models, get The Maiden from World Works and then accessorize it with A Maiden's 20, also from World Works, which is a set of 20 standees complete with bios and stats for 20 NPC inhabitants of a pirate ship.

Awesome stuff everyone. Thanks!
At this point I have decided to start them as part of a crew of nuetral semi-pirates/semi-honest merchant privateer. They are starting in Riddleport and have some shore leave in which they can decide what to do (get into trouble in the city or get back on the boat etc) and then Im going to just drop a bunch of random mini set pieces and episodic type adventures into it, so these are great. Thanks!
