Okay, It’s true. I’m GMing another game. But I love this and I find that I have had a lot of free time lately and now I even have a way to post anytime and anywhere. So here goes another Campaign.
Race to Ulantopia
This was a unique campaign that I had set up a long time ago and have had a lot of fun playing. It worked it’s absolute best when I only had two players. So that being said, I want this to be a Two Player Campaign Here’s how to apply.
The World
First the Campaign will be set in Golorion so all the deities and all the neat stuff about Golorion is there for you to work with.
The Setting
You will be starting in a remote kingdom that you have recently visited and eventually you will be dragged into a made hunt for an ancient kingdom called Ulantopia. The goal is to find the land and its secrets before anyone else. One of you will hold “The Key to Ulantopia” making you sought after by four different entities. One of which is Lord Diagar who rules the kingdom you’ve recently visited, and the other is Lord Baschwa who rules the neighboring kingdom. The other two groups are mysteries. The environment will change constantly as you will be doing a good deal of traveling.
The Characters
The main characters have the following relationship. Brothers/sisters or brother and sister, close friends, partners in crime, or some other reason for the two of you to be close. I’m not looking for any romantic relationship between the two players involved. I’d prefer to stay away from those for the time being. This is to build the “Dynamic Duo” concept. I have run this concept many times in the past and have loved it everytime. When there are two like minded individuals causing trouble, awesomeness follows.
Special Rules
1. Since the game uses only two characters, I will being running a fast paced leveling system. So you will level quickly.
2. I want this game to be high roleplay and low combat. Therefore, I’m capping HP at level six. You will gain more HD but not more HP. Instead, you will gain skill points equal to the normal HD you would have rolled. D6 = 1 SP, D8 = 2 SPs, D10 = 3 SP, and D12 = 4 SPs. You will still gain HP from the toughness trait as you level and when you increase your constitution score. Player character NPCs will also be following the same HP rules.
3. To fight anything vastly stronger than you, I will allow intergration of certain skills to aid you in battle. For example. Rather than relying solely on AC to save you, you can attempt an Acrobatics check to avoid an attack. Also I encourage you to be clever in dealing with certain foes. Charging up an attacking a monster barbarian style isn’t a really good idea. Instead, get clever, use your surroundings. Anything is possible, just run it by me and I will make it happen.
4. Skill use is the major focus of how to play this campaign. Use skills for whatever you can think of. Also, if you are creative or well spoken in your own right, I will wave certain checks for players personal skill.
The Application
Okay here’s my app requirements.
1. NO BACKSTORY. We will go over that in the Discussion threads.
2. I will use the Core Rulebook, APG, UM, Ultimate Combat Playtest, and all Bestiaries and Companions. NO Third party publishing.
3. I will need to see your statblock
4. Ability scores will be 2d6 + 6. Roll this eight times and chose your favorite six
5. Three traits, there are no campaign traits for this one.
6. Any race is playable.
7. Okay the most important part of this application is the compatibility. Once you’ve posted the statblock. You will roleplay in the Far Runner inn. Enter and speak with the barkeep and try to make friends. I will watch the roleplaying and after I’ve decided on two players with the most interesting and compatible duo. If you already have friends you think you could work with well then invite them and apply.
8. I am looking for dedicated players who will post frequently.
9. This recruitment will close once I have decided on the two players
Any questions, please ask in OOC. Again once you've posted your statblock, start roleplaying. You are in the FarRunner Inn. Interact with your environment and anyone else who shows up. Have Fun

Intrested, that of course if your cool with me applying since I am in two of your games already but the special rules, remind me of my dodge and parry system I use with my live PF games.
Just in case you let me apply hehe
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 = 8
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 12
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11

I must admit, I played an RL game like this. It was myself and my brother-in-law. We were both paladins. It was mostly a sandbox adventure, that my wife ran for us. It was the greatest RL game I've ever played. We had the absolute best time. We were the most opposite of paladins, yet we clicked like brothers. Complete and utter fun. There were a couple of times we never even rolled a die and STILL had fun. Hard to believe, I know, but tis true my friend. Obviously, it was the most roleplayed RL game I've ever been in. I know that's not fun for everyone, but it's what I love the most. Strangely enough, Javell was the paladin I was playing. (Also my favorite RL character ever.)
If you get the right two cats, this could be real fun. I'm tempted too, but once work starts back up next week(on vacation) my posting will drop till after 6:30pm CST. Sometimes after 8/8:30.
Will keep an eye on this one, myself. Interested to see who else kicks in on this.

Just had an interesting thought for the pairing.
Bastard sons - one Half-Elf, one Half-Orc.
If Roidrage or someone else is intrigued by that relationship, I could be pursuaded to pony up and throw in a concept.
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 6 = 10
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17
17 / 17 / 14 / 14 / 12 / 11 array
| Mark Sweetman |
Ok - I'll run with a Half-Elf Fighter (Two-Weapon Warrior Archetype)
Str: 17, Dex: 17, Con: 14+2=16, Int: 14, Wis: 11, Cha: 12
Alternate Racial Trait: Ancestral Arms
Feats: Two-Weapon Fighting, Combat Expertise
Skills: TBC
Lightly Armored Two-Weapon Fighter that will wield a Longsword / Swordbreaker Dagger combo. Will be a swashbucklish character, using the off-hand solely for disarming maneuvers or the like.
How does that suit ya Roidrage?

Im good with that, I was thinking for my Half-orc a Oracle, Inquistor, or a Bard.
The Bard and Oracle will be more melee while the Inquistor might be more ranged not sure yet. Let me know what you think Mark.
Hey Shanosuke I know that the HP stops at level 6, but do we still keep getting our classes abilites everytime we level or just those skill points after we hit level 6? Just curious.

This is the Profile I'll use for Mark Sweetman's Half-Elf. Still need to update the crunch though.
A half-elf dressed in browns and greens strolls in through the open entryway to the Far Runner. The elvish features are noticeable, but not dominant so the man is still swarthy enough to give the local drunks pause enough not to challenge him. A longsword and dagger scabbard hang at his waist, though the dagger sheath seems wider than most you've seen. A slight jingle as he walks suggest that a chain shirt lies beneath his travelling clothes.
Twirling a gold piece betwixt his fingers, he approaches the barkeep "Now tell me my good man. Do you have any swill here that is worthy of my metal?" eyes twinkling awaiting a response.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to back out. The person I had in mind chose not to. The character concept was actually similar to yours, Mark. However, one sibling was going to be a "perfect child", in fact an aasimar, while the other was going to be a bastard child, e.g. a half-orc. The Half-orc would try and garner attention via Science (he was originally an alchemist), and occasionally almost kill the other one via accidental explosions and such. This, of course, only makes the favoritism worse, and the aasimar is the only one who accepts him and really talks to him, etc etc. If anyone wants to play a set like that with me, (not necessarily aasimar and half-orc, but the concept) I'll be lurking.
| Hashar. |
A large half-orc follows the elf in, though in contrast his entrance could not be more different. Instead of dancing around the patrons the half-orc wades through the mob of bar flies forcing them to make a path. He is clad in dark heavy armor adorned with spikes, with traces of robes underneath the metal shell. Everybody will notice his orcish features being a little deluded by his human blood. His hair is long and put back in a ponytail, exposing a massive scar on his forehead. The half-orcs tusk spike out just a bit out his mouth while he smiles at female patrons he bumps into and offers them apologies, while the drunkards that turn to him get a full snarl and a point to his great sword on his back. You can hear the rattling of his two different holy symbols that are worn around his neck, one of a silver tankard and the other a mountain with a sword striking it. As he pushes through the various peoples of the inn causing many more drinks to be spilled, he finally makes his way to the bar as the Half-elf finishes his order.
”Don’t forget to get a drink for your little brother.” Hashar says with a toothy grin.

Its not like Pathfinder.
shadowrun is a whole different system. It’s a cyberpunkish future with magic coming back to the earth and some humans changing into orcs, trolls, elves, and dwarves. While corporation run most of the areas. Normally you play as a runner a gun for hire, who works for a Johnson( they call themselves Mr. Johnsons but can range from a small time criminal to a president of a corporation.) It’s a really fun system and game.

Hey, I'm applying for this with Edgar Lamoureux. We've come up with a pretty cool pair, and I think you'll enjoy it.
The first character, a half-orc Paladin, is a responsible and protective brother. He has a strong set of morals, and even though others judge him for his racial heritage, he takes their discrimination stoically, trying to brush their comments off to the side and see the good in people.
The second character, an Aasimar rogue, has learned that many people are rather trusting of him due to his heritage. He uses this to his advantage, manipulating and lying his way through life. He often uses his older brother as a scapegoat when his machinations are discovered, completing the ruse with his winning smile.
Both would be born of a half-orc couple (not bastard children). However, through a celestial ancestor, divine intervention, or some other shenanigans, one came out as an aasimar.
So, the pair would be an aasimar who's always starting trouble, and a half-orc who's always picking up after his little brother.
BTW, he and I know each other IRL, and work as a pretty swell team.

Rolling for stats:
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13
Alright, so pre-racial I'm looking at:
STR: 13
DEX: 14
CON: 13
INT: 11
WIS: 14
CHA: 16
Quick witted, with a winning smile. Not too meek, not too brazen. Perfect for the guy who's loved by everyone (except the ones who've found out that he's really a con!).
I dunno how you want to do aasimar. I'd be fine with any changes to the stats you put forth.

Hey guys, I'm going to have to close this for now. I don't like the flow of this campaign and I don't have enough time to test it. I may open it up again when school lightens up. Good news though, I will be opening a new campaign shortly, one that is already pre-written and tested. And I will be looking for experienced and frequent posters. Again I am sorry this didn't work out. Maybe once I finish school and find a RL group to run it through I post it again.
