So far about 40% of available tickets have been sold and 10 tables have sold out. Last year we had about 50% of the players walk-up to the table without pre-registering so things appear healthy for U-Con despite the change of venue. I am looking forward to a fun convention. I might even get to play...

I am nervously awaiting their release. It is not reassuring to see the designation Unavailable next to them rather than Will be available later today...
If they are not released for some reason, will other scenarios be offered in their place?
I am signed up to play sessions of both.

Oh by the way, if anyone lives between Troy and the con and wants or needs a ride Friday afternoon (around 4-5ish) I can pick you up on my way. Just know though that I'm there until Sunday afternoon so I won't be able to drop anyone off until then. Oh and don't make me go all over the place if you do need a ride. I'm willing to basically pick anyone up who is within a few miles of that corridor (down I-75 from Troy then over 94 to the hotel etc.)
I have a van (a crappy, dirty van with mountain biking and kid paraphernalia in it so you'll have to put up with that as a warning lol)
Oh and no gas money needed, this is gratis :)

The last time I volunteered to give a stranger a ride home from a con, my best friend threatened to "throat-punch" me if I ever did anything like that again. My girlfriend added she would assist him in dragging me from my car and beating me more senseless than I already was. I don't offer anyone rides anymore.

Good try though!
In my defense, you never defined what "few" meant and with all the rules lawyers around here...

You had to be there. It was cold and I felt bad for the guy, so I offered him a ride without consulting my friends. I didn't realize how much he stank until we were trapped in the car with him. Then he couldn't tell me where he lived, cause he only knew his way home from the bus stop. He wouldn't stop talking, it was like a bad Seinfeld episode. The panic started to creep in and my friends went a little crazy.

Well it'll just be me and my dirty van so no friends to complain about gamer stank and unless the person needing a ride is a particularly hot member of the gender opposite mine, my significant other won't have any issues lol
Oh and rules lawyers get dropped off in the worst part of Detroit I can find with a sign saying "I hate <insert derogatory name of an ethnic minority here>" around their necks. So think carefully before debating the terms of my offer my friend!

To be fair, I could have given you better directions if I had my phone on me...

FYI: It's snowing here in Michigan. So, drive safe on your way here, and even safer when I get in your car. I enjoy being among the living.

Wow, this has been the smoothest convention I have ever organized. It's all due to the awesome GMs that have volunteered in numbers this year. I am fortunate that once again my out-of-state peers have supported me so staunchly. Blood Under Absalom is currently running, and Overseer GM Kyle Baird (name drop) is putting our Michigan Pathfinders through the paces. Excitement is high (we can smell it out at HQ) and many fond "convention moments" are being experienced that will be talked of for years to come.

I was at the 5-6 table playing Oog, a half-orc barbarian.
It was GM'd by.. Brian Moons, I think? At your table at in the 2pm slot I was playing the tiefling ninja :)
I might have come back down for one more game on Sunday, but getting home the night before at 2:30am after the special made getting up the next day rather difficult. My lethargy is only just now letting up.
