So I'm helping a player stat up his new werelion barbarian. The problem is I think my brain is burnt out, because these questions should be easy to answer myself.
First off:
A lycanthrope’s hybrid form is the same size as the base
animal or the base creature, whichever is larger.
So in his hybrid form he sohuld be large, yes? If that's so why is the weretiger only medium? I mean tiger's are large last I looked.
Second:
Special Attacks: A lycanthrope retains all the special
attacks, qualities, and abilities of the base creature.
In hybrid or animal form it gains the special attacks,
qualities, and abilities of the base animal.
So he'll be gaining the lion's grab, pounce and rake abilities right?
Again sorry for the lame questions. Brains just not firing on all cylinders.

The size thing appears to be an error on the part of the Paizo. They also made the werebear to be Medium in its hybrid form. As beastiary II, which these were published in, was relatively recent and hasn't been errata'd yet, I would suspect it will be changed so they are Large.
He gains the grab, pounce, and rake abilities when he is hybrid form, but not in his base form. The base creature is the humanoid form, the base animal is the animal. He only gains the animal's special attacks, qualities, and abilities when in hybrid form.
