Preparation Rituals of your very own

I recently got Ultimate Magic, and have a question about Preparation Rituals.

How does one go about developing preparation rituals for ones own spellbooks? And for that matter, how does a GM develop new forms of preparation ritual?

It takes an hour in a quiet place for concentration. The rest is fluff. If you're bat themed wizard needs to hang upside down while he reads for an hour so be it.
