okay so i posted a while ago that i was running ectr in pathfinder
i have done a few conversions but mostly i let the encounters run as is el9 ect.. and i was warned that they would blow through the last encounter they are apl7 and blew through 4 werewolves in wolf form 2 hybrids ranger level 2 and 2 vampire spawns book calls it el9 i call added 2 extra wolves for the trip attack. and they still kungfued. let me back up i am not a math kinda guy. I never bothered with xp before i would just award a level when i felt like it. so what i was thinking for the next encounter it is on page 68 ( i own the book)
is a mad nymph (not the good kind) and 3 hybrids who are level 2 rangers. because i sent the party into the woods to hunt wolves it doesn't make sense for a bunch of weretigers/bears to all the sudden show up. so i was thinking to bump up the cr not the el to cr10ish add a few levels to my hybrids maybe fighter all the way drop the ranger i was thinking of 3 level 4 fighter hybrids. what do you guys think?
the group has hero points so i wont hold back. but except for ranged combat. i was thinking of fighters with great swords? about +8 or +10
any suggestions would be appreciated. i can make them up this week at work (thanks boss) so they will be pathfinder levels not 3.5 so i dont want to pump them up to much. but i want them to bleed for it.

short and sweet how do i bump up a cr2 werewolves fighter to cr 4-5 add more levels of fighter?
Yes. If they're CR 2 now, you add 2 fighter levels to make them CR 4.
You could also add 3 or 4 warrior levels.
If you wanted to do more work, you could make them were-dire wolves instead of plain werewolves.

sweet thanks for the bump up the next thing is do i add the d10 for leveling up to fighter or the d8 for shapechanger subtype?
Regardless of whether you're playing 3.5e or Pathfinder, adding fighter levels to a werewolf fighter will be d10 hitdice. The d8 only applies to the animal (wolf) hitdice, not class levels.
Not sure why you're switching from ranger to fighter really.

i think fighters do more damage in melee, and thinking of personnel guards for the bbeg werewolf king would be melee not ranged.you don't like?
