Masque Spell (Metamagic)

Spells you cast are harder to identify and detect.

Benefit: A masque spell increases the DC to identify when cast by 4. The lingering Aura from the spell is one category lower for purposes of detection to a minimum of Faint. Detect Magic is ineffective against the spell's effects.

A masque spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell's actual level.


Do you think it should take a spell slot two levels higher or is one fine?


I was also going to make a Greater version of this feat that would be +3 caster levels and make spells ineffective against 4th or lower detection spells like Arcane sight.


I don't know about the greater version, but the original sounds good.
