Uncanny Dodge changed in PF?

Rules Questions

Uncanny Dodge in 3.5 used to say you keep your Dex bonus to AC when caught flat-footed.

Now, in PF, it's saying you cannot be caught flat-footed, omitting the part about keeping Dexterity.

So does that mean characters with Uncanny Dodge not only keep their Dex bonus but also can make Attacks of Opportunity, as well, since that's PF's definition of Flat-Footed?!

Yup. They can act in the surprise round, and aren't caught flat footed. So that rogue that just popped out of the bushes wouldn't get an automatic sneak attack on the 2nd level barbarian.

Umm they don't get to act in the surprise round.

They'd have the ability to make attacks of opportunity at least, as they aren't flat footed, correct?

Correct, just like if they had combat reflexes but a 10 DEX (for number of AOOs).

They are not-flat footed, but if surprised they wouldn't be acting in the surprise round.

Interesting, well no matter. Was concerned on if the wording would affect Iaijutsu Focus from Oriental Adventures to not work on Barbarians and Rogues anymore, but I will simply rule that it continues to work, despite PF's wording changes.

...wasn't OA made for 3.0 ? I'd consider some all-around tweaking to -everything- in that book.
