Okay, so I've built an Elf Cleric of Desna for PFS that I really like. He's a professional gambler, has Luck and Travel as his domains, fights with a rapier (and has Expert Duelist as a trait), wears a chain shirt, and is of the Taldor faction. He's classy, refined, quick, and luck-oriented.

So... anyone know of a mini that would look like that, and where to find it?

Easiest is to start with Reaper's "figure finder": link

That link already has "male elf sword chain" plugged into the search... it pops out example minis on the right-hand side that fit those search terms.

The Exchange

I did a fast search for you, and found a few that might fit your character. I definitely recommend looking through the figure finder yourself if these don't grab you, there are lots of great mini's there.

Go to 14544: Ian, Ivy Crown Mage
(says a mage and has a spell effect, but has a rapier and could pass for cleric)

Go to 5043: Toreth, Elf
(no chain but nice duelist type elf guy)

Go to 02027: D'narg The Slayer
(chain but more of a delicate longsword than a rapier

Go to 60005: Arael, Half Elf Cleric
(not perfect in detail but perhaps in theme)

By the way, doing a weapon swap of any sword that isn't molded 'alongside' the rest of the miniature into a rapier blade is trivial.

All you need is a pair of wire cutters, a pin vise drill, and a safety pin.

You snip the swordblade off at the weapon hilt, drill a hole into the hilt. You then snip the pointy part of the safety pin to the proper length, and put a drop of superglue on it, and stick it into the hole you drilled. Voila, you've got a rapier. I'd suggest snipping the tip off the blade, or you'll puncture yourself picking it up.

That gives you a lot more options on miniatures, and honestly the straight-pin stule rapier looks better than anything you can cast out of white metal.

This is an awesome idea.

I only want to add that when snipping the safety pin (or using a straight pin)--put them in a vise, shut your eyes, wear safety glasses, etc. WHATEVER--to make sure the pin doesn't fly off and hit you in the face when you snip it. I've noticed when I'm not careful snipping paper clips that they can fly all over the place after being snipped unless I take precautions, and with a pointy bit that has potentially worse consequences if you're not careful.

I usually hold the small part when I clip, that way the large part is what goes flying, and physics says that the larger mass of the big piece isn't going to move as fast as a smaller bit.

Though I generally cup my hand over it or place an obstruction over it to prevent flying debris, just in case.

My solution is to place the small end in a tissue (I have a tissue in my paperclip box for this express purpose), voila, end flys into tissue, not all over the room. Works like a charm
