Working on trying to polish this guy up a little bit and could use a second (or third) set of eyes on it to help me get it in order. Thanks in advance!

Icewalking (Ex) This ability works like the spider climb spell, but the surfaces the dragon climbs must be icy. The dragon can move across icy surfaces without penalty and does not need to make Acrobatics checks to run or charge on ice.

Snow Vision (Ex) A lohikaarme learns to see perfectly well in snowy conditions. It does not suffer any penalties to Perception checks while in snow.

Part dragon, part troll, the lohikaarme is a being of unspeakable horror. Its pale hunched form is all muscle and scale and its heart is pure evil. Originally a crossbreed between frost dragons and trolls, generations of these creatures have begun to breed true and they have become unique from both of their ancestors. Brutal and cunning, the lohikaarme rule the frozen tundra. Generally loners except during the mating season, the grotesque bipedal dragons guard small hordes like their draconic ancestors. Lohikaarme stand 12 feet tall, weigh over 1200 pounds and have a wingspan that stretches nearly 25 feet.

Silver Crusade

I am really not the best one to look at monsters, but when looking at dragons of the same CR the AC on this thing is waaay too low. Perhaps you wanted its regeneration to make up for it, but regeneration 5 is going to do next to nothing at high-levels.


But, dragons also have abysmal touch ACs and this guy's isn't half bad. However, it's pretty easy to fix by simply putting a +1 breastplate on him, taking him to AC 32, same as the marilith and ice linnorm of the same CR.

However, upon looking at this a bit more myself, I realize that it should have a few more HD, which would give it better saves (I calculated them wrong anyway) and several more feats. I could probably also stand to bump its regen to 10 or even 15. Also, if it wanted to, it could wield a weapon or two.

However, I know that it's probably a bit weak for its CR. I usually over CR things when I make them for fear of sending them at my players too early and winding up with a TPK.

It seems to me to be much below its estimated CR.
As creature that focuses on melee attacks its AC and attack rolls are closer to CR 12, hit points and average damage to CR 15. Its saving throws are also too low for anything beyond CR 12.

Also, I am confused with its melee attacks: two claws and two rends? And the rends are included in melee attack routine instead of being special abilities triggered by claw attack? This is not how Rend usually works.

I think the rend listed in the attack routine is an artifact of the software used to generate the original template (HeroLab). I'll adjust to conform better with Paizo standard.

The saves, as I mentioned, were miscalculated. Also, by bumping it from 10 HD to 15 HD will bring its attacks up to standard for CR 16/17. It will also increase its saves to +23/+15/+12. With Iron Will, it puts it close enough to CR 16/17 to call it a day.

I'll mock up an adjusted stat block if you would be so kind as to review it for further errors. Thank you both very much for the help.

EDIT: How does this look? I still think it could use another special ability/attack to round it out. Any thoughts?
