...as a variant to use with my TH Fighter (Greatsword) and I have a couple of questions:
How significant do most people tend to find the speed penalty for heavy armor? Its honestly the main reason I've stuck with a standard fighter this long.
At 19th level the Weapon Master gets 'Unstoppable Strike'. All of his previous abilities detail what each is replacing (i.e at 3rd level Weapon Training replaces Armor Training, at 9th level Mirror Move replaces Weapon Training 2, etc.). Unstoppable Strike, however, isn't shown to replace anything. I would presume that it was intended to replace the standard 19th level Fighter ability of Armor Mastery, but if that's the case (or even if its not), does that mean the Weapon Master still gets the standard 20th level Fighter ability of Weapon Mastery since no same-level replacement is mentioned?
Assuming the Weapon Master does indeed get Weapon Mastery at 20th level, will his ability to raise his critical multiplier by +1 be stackable with his 13th level ability to do the same?
I don't see the Weapon Master as an option mentioned hardly ever on the boards, though it seems to me to be equal or superior in its benefits to a two-handed weapon weilder as Two Weapon Fighter is. Is there a down-side that I'm missing?

The movement penalty for heavy armor sucks if you usually start combat at extreme ranges. If you start with in charge distance it's not a big deal. Also mithral heavy armor helps with that.
Unless there has been errata Unstoppable strike doesn't replace anything and is just a bonus. And you would get Weapon Mastery at 20th.
I can see no reason why Weapon Mastery wouldn't stack with Deadly Critical.
The bonuses that the Two-Handed Fighter get are sick. Double strength mod and power attack damage that is multiplied on a critical can be ridiculous. And devastating blow combined with Weapon Mastery = Auto Crit if you hit.
but that is all my opinion. I am by no means an expert on Fighters.

Double Strength Mod and the rest is indeed impressive, but it seemed not so much relative to what you're already getting. In other words, x2 is great compared to x0 (or even x1), but if you're already getting x1.5 you might want to look at some of the other available benefits. Two-Handeds already get x 1.5, so x2 seems only marginally better, especially when both still get bonuses from Focus, magical enhancements, etc.
Heh, I'll tell you what's crazy - being able to make a standard action attack with a two-handed weapon as a touch attack that ignores damage resistance. Load up on Weapon Expertise, Power Attack and Stunning Assault penalties without a care and cap it off with Vital Strike. Wow.
Thanks for the reply. :)

I am currently playing a Falcata-and-Shield Weapon Master, and having a blast with it.
For PFS play, which caps out at 12th level, that third Weapon Training at 11 is great.
I do wish that they'd put Armor Training in at 5th and 9th. The likelihood that I'll ever face a PFS NPC using a Falcata is somewhere between slim and none.

Vital strike wouldn't stack, since it's already a standard action. So you wouldn't be doing nearly as much damage as you would in a full attack or a greater-vital-strike attack. On the other hand, it is touch...
