Alternate Combat Buffing rules

Homebrew and House Rules

Just came up with an idea for some alternative rules regarding in combat buffing.

Say you've got 3 short lived buffs you want to put on during a fight, instead of using 3 rounds to do it and doing nothing else in between I propose you can combine all of those buffs into a full round action spell. But none of the effects start until the casting time for all the buffs in the combination has been met.

It dose however free you up in subsequent turns to do other things.

For example say you want to cast 3 std action buffs.
You use a full round action to cast all 3 round 1. There are 3 std actions worth of spell in the mix so you need 3 round before it comes into effect.

Meaning if you cast this round 1 the effects won't apply until the end of round 4.

You save actions at the cost of not benefiting from the effects at the beginning of the fight.

Also the rounds spent before the effects come into play count against the time for those buffs.

Thoughts ?
