Definitely not. It was chaotic. People often confuse the two.

And it's a tragedy.

Especially since it's so easy to tell apart. Good and evil are meaningless concepts invented by the gods to get you in line. Chaos is the universal truth and order the universal enemy.

Easy peasy.

I apologize. I re-read my post in the wonderful light of day and found it rather abrupt in tone. That was not what I was going for.

As a DM, I'd rule the original actions as non-alignment threatening. The caveat to that is if they are part and parcel to a broader shift in behavior indicating a potential shift in worldview and/or personal ethics. Regardless, I'd warn the player that I considered a shift possible prior to imposing one.

As a player, I'd be quite peeved if the DM shifted my alignment due to a handful of actions without taking into account the whole picture and/or discussing the potential for a shift prior to imposing one.

As for the rape question...there are certain acts that are abhorrent (read "inherently evil") regardless of cause, goal, or victim. In my not so humble opinion, that's one of them. Take it for what it's worth.

Anyway, there's my two bits to the question. :)

Maybe. I get so many messages of adoration. As well as marriage proposals, indecent proposals, death threats, recipes for cake (most of them lies), and the like. :D

But thanks!
