So far, my first PaizoCon has been a blast!
I did have a very looooooonnnnngggggg cross country plane ride, but that's another tale ...
On Thursday evening I had the pleasure of attending a very cool gathering thrown by the Kobold Quarterly Overlord himself, Wolfgang Baur. There were so many cool and interesting people there, I mainly just kept my mouth closed and listened - Wolfgang of course, Adam Deigle, Brandon Hodges, Stan!, Matt Forbek ... I know I'm forgetting people (or worse, mis-spelling their names)! All in all a great way to start the pre con!
I got to talk to Ed Greenwood about DMing and creating fun play sessions!
Today I have some cool semminars, including a very cool and funny rules semminar with James Sacobs, Jason Bulmahn and Stephen Radney-MacFarland
After dinner I have a game with the infamous Neil Spicer - can't wait!
I'll try to post through out the weekend as cool things happen ...

Lots of great stuff today. The highlight for me was the Secrets of TSR semminar. People from back in those storied days of TSR ... Ed Greewood, Stan!, Jeff Grubb, Dave Gross etc telling allsorts of great, funning and/or just plain interesting stories about working for TSR in the early days.
Great stuff! I think it was recorded - if so, it is worth checking out!!! Stan's story about chairs at TSR was just one of many highlights!
Great, great writing seminars with James Sutter, Christopher Carey, Mark Moreland, Hyrum Savage and Judy Bauer. They were great at sharing their collective wisdom and experience, and very articulate.
Tomorrow I actually don't have any games scheduled, just seminars, and I don't think I would have it any other way! Sunday I'm in a game with Russ Taylor GMing.
Some highlights... Jason Bulmahn doing improve stand up comedy to keep entertained those of us in line for registration and getting to meet some of those names you see on the boards all the time: Gary, Cosmo and Liz. Until you see him in real life, it is hard to understand the uncanny resemblance between Cosmo and his board avatar. ;)
MoB, Marc - I need to meet you guys, sure I've seen you 15 times already but I can't read the name tags fast enough. Want to do breakfast or something tomorrow morning? What time? Or Lunch after things wrap up...

Actually, I'll be the one with the cinnamon colored hair, what there is of it anyway. I'll check the posts before I leave in the morning to see about breakfast, or certainly lunch. I have a game from 8 to 1.
I didn't get banquet tickets, so I missed out. I got my con tickets too late and the banquet was sold out.

Lots of great panels and cool news on Saturday. Everyone knows the next AP is Skull and Bones, or as James called it ... "All pirates, all the time!"
The banquet was very cool. I sat with Jason Bulmahn, Wolfgang Baur, Clark Peterson, Jason Nelson, Russ Taylor and some other cool people whose names I saddly don't recall.

Next after Ultimate Combat (we saw the actual book and it looks great) is Ultimate Races
We saw proto types of the 4 pre paonted plastic minis - they look amazing! The entire room did oooh'd and ahh'd
Bestiary 3 officially announced
We came in a respectable 3rd in the trivia contest
