Brood master builds

Advice

I really like the idea behind the brood master, but i've not had a chance to play one yet.

Just looking at the class I'm not entirely convinced it's a viable class. So my questions are;
Has anyone played a brood master? How did it work out? Any suggestions on builds?

The only way I really see it being viable is with something like the following by going with weapon using Eidolons and sitting back and shooting things a lot... or using polearms.

The biggest problem is separating out the feats -- if all the eidolons used the same feats then you could go with say bodyguard, outflank and the like to really lay the hurt on things.

However the place I see the brood master working the best would be in a party with a cavalier and a bard. The bard is going to cause all those weapon attacks to really hurt and the cavalier can give the eidolons use of teamwork feats with his tactician ability.

In this case you could have 4 eidolons using outflank getting a +6 to hit +5 to damage with an extra attack.

The weapon usage however is going to be key -- without it you simply can't make good use of their attacks or the fact they each have a decent BAB.

I have recently just finished my Broodmaster. He is a halfing with @ small furry Eidolons, similiar to mogwas from gremlins. My charcters cover is a circus performer who travels and also works with the Pathfinder society. I based his pets sort of on the comic book character izzs from the max. We have only played 2 games with no combat yet.

That's kind of what i figured.

Oh sayers of nay give the broodmaster a chance. They are the PERFECT opportunity for the teamwork feets. Imagine, 2 of the buggers flanking target creature, each get 2 attacks @ 1d4+1d6 each, the you follow up with the feat that allow you to be considered flanking as long as one of your allies is adjacent to the target. Insert heavy polearm type weapon here. For our example lets use the Lucern Hamer 1d10 + 1d6 for the teamwork feat. There are lots of flanking related feats and teamwork feats that broodmasters have the opportunity to attempt that for other classes the odds are unlikely, (save the cavalier & inquisitor for the teamwork feats).
Don't count them out yet!

In other words brood masters are only useful for using team work feats.

Hey! I never said anything about the broodmaster! ;)

and weapon attacks -- they can be very good at overwhelming weapon attacks.
