Reading the pathfinderwiki article kind of reminds me of ancient Rome or Athens, both built on "seven hills." There are a large number of rivers and bridges, as well. Blending this with medieval Florence may give the sense you are looking for.
All these cities are more linear than the northern European model since they are based on classical planning.

I know y'all posted these 2 years ago, but what did you come up with? I'm starting my campaign in Andoran. Just got the campaign setting book - and while it's very helpful, I could use some more imagery to set the scene - either maps of Carpenden and Almas or images of architecture. I'm thinking northern Italy (Siena, Florence), but maybe the limate warrants some place north of that. The sourcebook talks about Azlanti influenced architecture. Are there images in other books that I might have?
