Combat Expertise is the arbitrary character for smart fighters style of fighter. That has NOTHING to do with Improved Trip or Disarm. When has Roy done either? Roy's schtick is hitting his opponent with a magical longsword as hard as possible. The bloody IDIOT SAVANTE Bard is the "smart fighter."

Combat expertise in use here?

Bullrush.
He did not push the ogre back - the ogre falled by himself. Maybe after the inital charge, combat expertise to force him back while defending against the AoO?

What defense? He got the crap beat out of him.

Scarab Sages

It's not Roy that became a Dashing Blade, or whatever Elan's PrC is.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

That wasn't Combat Expertise or Bullrush in that scene, that was a clever player and an indulgent GM. Or it's a comic strip. Yeah, that.

This whole thread can be summed up as:

"I don't like this pre-requisite"

"Well, tough noogies, it is there"

"Yes, but that's dumb"

"No it's not dumb, because I like it"

"Yeah, but I still don't like it"

There.

You're all free now.
