Wow, that sounds cool!
Not sure if the timing would work for me - my flight gets in Thursday around 1PM. I'd sure like to try and tag along though!
What kind of cool stuff is there???
There's a lot of stuff there, but my most striking memory of it is the Alien queen from Aliens. Currently there's an Avatar and a BSG special exhibit, but the place covers the gamut from the early days of pulp SF to recent films and TV. I've enjoyed my several previous visits.

Tim Nightengale mentioned making the SFM a part of his guided tour this year, though I think he's keeping the numbers somewhat small for that to make it easier to keep the group organized. Jason Nelson also mentioned he had a 2-for-1 ticket coupon for the SFM from one of his entertainment books. So, he and I plan on using that whether we're touring with Tim or on our own. Depending on when you guys show up, we may already be there.

Can you link to Tim's plans? I missed them.

I'm not sure he's posted them yet. It's something he did last year to great effect. And he's hinted he may do another one this year, but a little more controlled. Last time, we toured the Pike Place market, took the Seattle Underground tour (which served up some inspiration for me on a recent Paizo adventure releasing in July), and ate lunch at Ivar's seafood restaurant. This year, he mentioned doing the Sci-Fi Museum, but I haven't seen his complete plans yet. If it goes down like last year, he'll pick up a few people at the hotel and head out on Thursday.

Geez, my ears are burning....oh! I see.
My plans for Thursday are not developed right now. I need to see what work throws at me this week to know whether or not I'm going to be able to do an outing. There is also that Wayfinder thing I might need extra time to work on....
IF I can get Thursday free and clear, I'm not going to attempt to cram in downtown excursions this year. I was thinking of doing the Seattle Center this time. That'd include EMP/Sci Fi Museum, Pacific Science Center, the Space Needle (if people want to go up...I've done it too many times myself), and then if people want to head downtown to Pike's Place Market and such, there is the monorail to Westlake Center, and the market is a short walk from there.
If people did that, they'd need to find a bus or ride back to the hotel.

My guess is we'll try to head towards Seattle Center in the morning/midday rather than evening, probably around 10 or so. I do have a family pass to the Science Center so I can get a couple of guests in free (I think 3 guests per day) in case anybody is planning on being at Seattle Center around that time.

Me (Angela) and my boyfriend (Keven) could be up there whenever we needed to hang out and check out the Science Center or anything else anyone is interested in. I am super excited for all of this.

Well, I need to square everything with Neil once he's here, but first call gets first dibs on my guest freebies.
You can call me on Thursday morning around then at
then a 2 and a 2 and a 9
then a 9 and 0 and a 9 and a 2
and we can arrange to meet at the entrance and I can comp you in.
If you like, you can say "I work for Mr. Fandango... " :)

I will be there Wednesday (I'm checking into the hotel tonight, in fact). I'll be in a screening downtown until about 12:15, but I'm free afterward.

Will do. We have plans to leave our area around 9am. According to Google Maps it should take us about an hour and 10 mins to get there. We will call when we get to the area.
Just to be clear since I'm not very familiar with Seattle you mean the complex near the Space Needle right? One more question, kinda silly but I know people who don't. Do you accept text messages?

It is the complex near the Space Needle.
I can also accept text messages, but I prefer good ol' fashioned talky-talky (esp. since I am a cell phone minimalist and have the cheapskate phone plan, which means they charge me for texts).
