Haste and "Full Base Attack Bonus"

Someone help me understand what "full base attack bonus" means. If a character with a BAB of +6/+1 has Haste cast on him and he makes a full attack with his longsword he gets 3 attacks right? Does the attack granted by Haste use the +6 or the +1 bonus? Is the +6 the "full base attacks bonus?"

Yes. Hasted lvl 6 fighter has three attacks: +6/+6/+1

+6 would be your full base attack bonus. So, a Fighter with BAB +6 and a Str of 13 (+1 bonus) that is hasted would get 3 attacks at +7, +7, and +2.

You forgot the +1 Haste bonus on attack rolls, so that would be : +8/+8/+3. :)

No, kikanaide is correct. The fighter would be +6/+6/+1 (he's been hexed to attack at -2)
