Im considering playing a power word caster. Just looking for general advice from people who have done the same, the Pro/Cons as they've found them.
(You mean Words of Power, correct?)
I haven't played one yet, but I think the Words of Power caster I'd be most interested in would be a druid.
- The spells a wordcasting druid gets are noticeably different from the standard druid list (e.g. equivalents of Lightning Bolt, Raise Dead, Restoration and Hold Monster), so it would feel the least like a watered-down version of the standard class.
- Casting Summon Servitor is a standard action whereas Summon Nature's Ally has a 1 round casting time. Other spells are better than their standard druid equivalent, too (e.g. the equivalent of Dispel Magic is available at lower levels)
- Druids get all of the metawords for free instead of having to use spells known or space in a spellbook.
- Druids are awesome.
