Bard and Magic Missile (quick question)

Playing in 2 days and I never played a Bard before... anyway Bard can get Magic Missile on their spell list? Pathfinder core books + APG + UM allowed.

If it's not on the Bard's list, and and given that there is no archetype or feat that comes to mind that allows it... the answer is no.

Doesn't the Magician Achetype allow a bard to pick arcane spells outside of the bard spell list?

The "Magician" archetype from the APG allows a bard to add one spell from any Arcane Spellcaster spell list to his list of known spells at level 2, and every 4 levels afterwards (basically, 1 extra spell from any Arcane spellcasting class for every spell level you learn).

Another way is to pick up the new UM feat Eldritch Heirtage and pick the arcane bloodline - their lvl 9 ability allows you to add any spell from the wizard/sorcerer spellist to your spells known =)

So yes it can be done. although personally magic missle is not something I'd dedicate one of my extremely limited spells known slot to. If you get a magic missle itch, buy a wand and fire it off until the itch goes away.

I agree usually but fits this flavor character.

I'm going to be in the line of get a wand of magic missle. It's cheap and for a bard easy use magic divice check. And with 50 charages more effective then casting the spell only a few times a day. I do the same thing on my wizards and sorcerers for low level damage. It's just more effective to wand then to cast.
