Last year I saw quite a few people that took an effort to dress up for the con, the appearance of Nethys last year being pretty notable ( kudos to you Karui_Kage, and to Jodi Lane for making it ), and the Alchemist ( sorry for not getting your name, it was awesome looking ).
Personally I really enjoy costuming and love dressing up for conventions. Unfortunatly I didn't dress up last year on account of...I did not plan.
This year though I plan on coming as a Cleric of Asmodeus. Look for the man dressed in the crimson and black nobleman's outfit.
I certainly don't wish to be alone in this, and I more than likely won't be, but I want to see who else will be bringing their dress up game to the con.
Im excited to see who brings what, or as who, this year :)

In honor of my first Paizocon I plan on dressing as the Lovely Rhoswen From Neil Spicers Realm of the Fellnight Queen. I will be the red head in the crown and green dress with the big lightup staff .... If I can get it done in time .... now back to the sewing for me.

Awesome idea :). I was going to bring a nerf mace that I dolled up to look like it was on fire, but unfortunatly the rules nixed that. Can't wait to see your costume.

I was trying to build this helmet/mask but my cos-fu failed me. I might come up with something simpler if I can get it done in the next three days :)

According to her Facebook page, Jodi's still weighing the decision to dress up as Amiri again for PaizoCon. She'll certainly be jazzed if there's lots of others joining the cos-play. And maybe Blake will do the Nethys outfit again. Anyone know if the girl who dressed up as Feiya at GenCon will make it out to Seattle? If so, that's three more likely candidates.

I've gotten most of the rings for my hauberk for the kyra costume which is one of the two hardest parts to deal with, but not even close to finished. I've got the linen to do the chemise, but I've been lazy about making the thing and getting it painted. I should maybe put some effort into that this weekend. Perhaps I can make a wearable homage top or something before paizocon.

Kyra is the best dressed of the Iconics, IMHO. I keep hoping to see a good cosplay version of her.

Thats understandable with regards to the LED's, that was one of the plans for the mace idea I had. I was also abit lazy and nixed my original idea of Echo of Lost Divinity ( One of Pharasma's Divine servants ) for this year. Maybe next year I'll go for it.
Which would be especially fantastic if someone came as the Lady of Graves.

If I wasn't flying... and too cheap to check in a bag I would have been planning to be in full out costume. But, I can't justify the cost this year. (This is what I get for all of my costumes being massive in one way or another.)
As for LEDs, have you tried Radio Shack? Or if there is some sort of dollar store in your area, ripping the LEDs out of something that lights up (like the foam light sabers) tends to work great.

We had a great time. I'm sure more and more pics will flow in as time goes away from PaizoCon, but I managed to get a few!
If you have any to add to this, please email them to me!
Go to Costume pics!.

Thanks everyone who participated this year :D, it was great to see your costumes DJ and Jodi. There was a guy on friday dressed as some kindof knight but I forgot to get any pictures.
I cannot wait to see who brings what next year.
I got a picture of the knight with scroll pants. It was really detailed.
I really liked CherryPie and Jodi's costume as well. I didn't see many others as I didn't get to go to the banquet. Good times!

Its kindof a gauzy material that Im not sure what its made of. I actually bought that as a piece from Museum Replicas a long time ago. Of course that also means that they no longer sell it, but I'll do some research and see what I can find :)
Any ideas on what you might do for next year?
I was thinking one of the gods for me. Perhaps Norgorber.

Curaigh wrote:not sure what LED you were looking for, but any wedding store should have light up buds which can be worked into some pretty small stuff :)was looking for 6 single lights on 3" of wire one to light each stone and a push button on off
This sounds like some soddering/electronics will be necessary. :)
Here is an interesting light up process I saw on PBS not long ago. Based on Tron, but I think it would work great for anything needing 'glowing runes.'
Sadly, I was crossing Lake Mercer heading west on my way home when it dawned on me, I could have brought my bud lights for you to borrow. Oh well, next time.
Oh, and about next time, I have settled on something for next year. Maybe I will get some of it done for GenCon even :)
