RAW Single Dose of Poison for a single attack.

1 Melee Weapon at a time
1 Piece of Ammo at a time

Sticky Poison and a Rogue Talent extend the duration, but only on the item you put it on. Would possibly last another attack on a piece of ammo but would need to retrieve it to fire it again.

See Poison, particularly the fourth paragraph, which establishes that attacking with a single piece of ammunition consumes one dose of poison.
