Getting from one thing to another

OK, vets, I have a question. If you have events that run into each other, for instance one event running until noon and another starting at noon...how does that work? Do I need to leave event A early to get to event B on time?

My Saturday is seriously jammed with goodness, and I'm thinking I may need to memorize Teleport several times in order to make everything on time.

IMO, you should try to avoid things like that, if for the only reason that you won't find time to eat and that just sucks!

I don't know about other GMs, but I am taking that into account when running my games and making sure to end 15 or so minutes early. (That said, I'll need to find somebody to fetch lunch for me on Saturday. :P)

That sounds much like my schedule for the past 2 PaizoCons....

I actually brought Clif Bars and snacks, plus powerade and water in my bag, so I would die of starvation and such.

Most games will end a little early, but if they don't, just let the GM know that "time's up" and move on to the next game. Don't feel bad about it.

And this year....I'm limiting myself to one game a day, plus seminars, and chatting. Lots of chatting with people this year...

The only problem I had last year was the Saturday back-to-back PFS sessions. I brought food to eat (there's a Whole Foods/Whole Paycheck a block or two away). If I hadn't, that would have been quite a fast.

If you do go the teleport route, be sure to familiarize yourself with the rooms.

Well, when you find that person, let me know! Maybe they can get me lunch too.

In all seriousness, my concern isn't so much about eating...a full breakfast will tide me over until the banquet...its more about being rude to GMs. Doesn't seem like that will be a problem from the sound of things.

Hey you could do what we did and end an hour earlier, granted we all died by the hands of the D.M. I don't suggest it though :)

Two things:

1) Food *can* be an issue. PFS games were only *4* hours the first year I went, and that was tight. Now they are 5, but the modules also got a little longer. Make sure to have some snacks (nutrigrain bars work great for me), but you may also have plenty of time for lunch. It just depends on the game.

2) This is a small hotel, and everything is a 30 second run from everything else. Given 5 minutes to pack and walk, you should be fine (except See #1). That also means no one should be more than 5 minutes late! :)

I'll be doing the same. They scheduled me to run my two games back to back on Saturday. Fortunately, I'll have friends there who can bring me lunch, and the first 10 minutes or so of the second game is player-character discussion anyway, which gives me time to eat my lunch :)
