True Seeing and the Illusionist

Does anyone have any tips for how an illusionist can avoid True Seeing?

I was looking at building a Rakshasa-blooded sorcerer, but this one spell seems to be a pain. Any advice from people who have been there in there own games?

Thanks in advance,

The thing about true seeing is that it's useless unless you're using it at the right time. It's a spell with limited durations if you can get the caster to use it at the wrong time, then you can misdirect things when it's not there.

Part 2... learn how to lie with the truth.

Mind blank will stop divination effects (which true seeing is) from piercing illusion effects on you personally (or anyone else you tag with mind blank) but won't protect any illusions not attached to you or your party. And it's an 8th level spell. Oh well.

Mindblank, as mentioned, will help.

Alternatively, don't give them cause to use that True Seeing in the first place.

Summons, clouds, walls, and the like can all block LoS, as can lead coated materials.

Play an Illusionist very tricks, and " lie with the truth" as described above.

Arcane Sight and Dispel Magic on the True Seeing?

Don't underestimate the utility of mundane disguise. Take the Cosmopolitan feat, get Disguise and, oh, I don't know, maybe Perception as class skills. Because True Seeing does jack for penetrating mundane disguise.

EDIT: Nevermind, Rakshasa-BLOODED sorcerer. I thought you were worried about being pegged as a Rakshasa (and damn I was envious for a minnit).

Hmmn... maybe what you need is Blindness/Deafness to chuck on the True Seeing folk.
