Yesterday my wife and I went to Mobi-Con, in Mobile Alabama, on a whim.
I have been running a Ptolus campaign for years for her, but Pathfinder caught her eye. Generally she is 100% any game that is not 3.0 or 3.5, but there were some "Pathfinders" there and we ended up joining and playing in two organized games.
Now she loves the system. We bought the Core Rule book on the spot, and two new sets of dice for her, and then spent the next 10 hours playing.
Now here is where the problem comes in. She loves Books, while I love PDF's. I was going to purchase the PDF this morning for use on my laptop at game in a few hours, but was told that the Bookmarks and everything are broke in the current PDF. The fella that told me this was told by another person that they were wrong, and then an argument broke out......
Who is right? I don't want to waste 10$ on a PDF that isn't usable

The PDF is perfectly usable. The bookmarks work fine. Now there are interdocument links which in the single file version work great, but in the multifile version work great with a caveat - you can't change the file names.
Be not afraid to purchase the PDf it is quite useful.

How was the Mobi-Con ? Live in Mobile as well but have never went to one. Looked at the guests and only really knew of one person.

My wife and I are from Chicago, moved here in Time for Ivan (whats that? 7 years ago now?). I kept looking at the listing for Mobi-Con and just never went until now.
It was very small, but was a butt-ton of fun. I talked with Larry Elmore for a good solid 45-60 minutes, and we actually talked, it wasn't a typical Con conversation with someone.
I am upset we only went on Friday, but the wife is already talking about going next year for the 3 days
