They already did the dog book as a stand alone. I am assuming the rest will be like it. If so then it will have a couple of fantastical animals but most will be real world animals.

Correct, it mostly mundane cats, dogs & horses based on real-world breeds (including a couple prehistoric breeds), but there are some fictional/fantasy versions as well. Cats will include some magical cats, for example, and a certain 8-legged horse is in the horses section.

There is only one animal that appears in both Tome of Monsters and Phantasia Zoologica, and that is the badgerhound dog.
I can't seem to find this product in the store. Was it released this summer as planned?
Like most of our print products this spring and summer, this one has been delayed. It is in layout right now, however. Look for it next month.
