They removed the "T"s from the map, because it made it too cluttered. I believe one of the developers said that if a party faced multiples of the traps it would make for a boring and frustrating session, and adviced that DMs should either simply decide on 3-4 locations were traps could be (and disregard the rest after one was triggered), or simply have the party face one of the traps no matter where they went (but never more than one).

Absolutely. In fact, you can generally tell in game play once the traps stop being a challenge or interesting—once this occurs, having another ten or so traps hit the PCs is not good times play. It's just annoying.
So yeah, hit the PCs with like 1–4 traps, or however much it takes them to figure out a good way to deal with them or until they get bored. The traps are there basically to trick the PCs into heading into the building, after all, and not spend lots of time goofing around on the outer grounds.
