LA Noire? Anyone getting this?

I'm on the fence. Not sure this will grab me. I'm also turned off by the thought this game will be so easy to make new DLC cases for and I dont want another money sink.

More console exclusive b&#!#*!%, I'm not sinking any cash into it. 'Hadn't thought about the case market, but it doesn't surprise me. The current trend is to release half the game then portion the rest out over eight months.

Curse those heartless fiends, with their superb products and optional purchases. Those bastards won't get a penny out of me until they promise to never expand or improve their products after the initial release. Enough is enough!

I just finished this game. It's short, but incredibly detailed and satisfying. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Investigation is handled superbly, and it really is fun to get a read on people's faces and push the right buttons.

I give it a solid 4.5/5, only because I'm a greedy bastard and want MOAR. The ending was very fitting of a Noire style game.

Got it and I'm not very impressed with it.

1) way to short
2) it plays like a choose your action D&D book
3) for the very little action the controls are too sticky

Short Game + rapidly coming DLCs = Selling half a game at full price and the other half by milking consumers at a steady rate.

Will pass.

One has to wonder with these DLCs becoming available so soon after the games release (like 2 weeks ago), if they already had these made or cut them from the game to make more money at our expense.

Sad, but a seemingly growing practice.

I agree. If its a full game like a fallout or elder scrolls, i dont mind shelling out for the dlc. But the trend definately seems to be "release half a game to get em hooked, then milk em for the other half!"

Wow, I gotta say, what do you guys want in a game? The production values for this game are thru the roof. The voice acting, seeing all the guest star actors, plus the sheer fun of a new experience of playing an detective (not something I've played in any game before). I'm only about half way through the game (2 cases left in homicide) and already thinks its worth my 60 bucks. I don't feel its only half a game. My only downside is I'm actually finding it hard to read some of the pois.
