Any suggestions/opinions?

Combat Maneuvers are available to all Heroic classes, with 1 maneuver point being available per 2 points of BAB per encounter. Monks and Fighters round up, other classes round down.

Maneuver points can be used to generate tactical movement options if the player uses the full round attack action. Maneuvers involving movement are automatically successful if the attack roll is successful.

1 – Tactical Step: Shift one square without provoking an attack of opportunity.
2 – Sweeping Blow: Slide an adjacent opponent one square on a successful hit
3 – Luring Step: Pull an opponent within 5 ft to one square (does not generate an attack of opportunity from the person performing the maneuver) of attackers choice, including into the attacker square, who moves one square back.
4 – Driving attack – Push your opponent one square and move into their square.
5 – Use any combat Maneuver as if having the relevant ‘Improved’ Maneuver feat.
6 – Slowing slot: After making your attack the opponent is reduced to 2 squares movement until after their next turn.

so each encounter you have 1/2 times your BAB in "Maneuver points"

And you can spend those points to do any of the listed things. Am i getting that right?

If thats right so far, what is with "shift" and "slide" are we talking about a houserule for 4e or pathfinder here?

It certainly looks a lot like 4e not only with these terms but also being an ability that inexplicably can only be used a limited amount of times per encounter. Encounter also being a term that is not as defined in pathfinder combat rules as it is in 4th edition.

Last but not least I cannot make the slightest nick of sense out of that first sentence.

You can use terms from other systems without using that system. Further, there are a fair number of abilities in PF with inexplicable limits on them. Like elemental fist, or Judgment.

Number 5 worries me since it makes taking Improved Combat Maneuver useless unless you are planning to take Greater CM.
