| Leafar the Lost |
This is the homebrew setting that was created on two other threads. The first one is the DON'T REPLY TO THIS THREAD thread, in which I asked that no one reply to this thread, and now it's almost 800 posts later. The other thread is LEAFAR THE LOST CAN'T REPLY TO THIS THREAD. Of course, I replied to it, and it lead to some very interesting exchanges.
I really don't know how to do relate this, so I will just do it and see how it goes. I will just post what interests me about him and his world. I really see him as this other person, who is very mentally unstable. But, he is also really unique and interesting.
Leafar the Lost: this character is either really powerful, insane, or both. He has claimed that he created the Land of Leafar over 1,000 years ago after his world was torn apart by something called the Catechism. He claims to be immortal and a Quasi-God.
In claims that his land is a Lordom, and he is an Overlord. The Land of Leafar has 12 Lords, and he has actually offered that title to several other Paizo characters. In a war over a nation called Muirkuria, he was able to cast high level spells and he said he was a 41st level Wizard. In his world, there are 20th level spells, and the one he described was Primal Wish/b]. He also claimed to have cast several 10th level [b]Greater Wish spells. Again, this is all according to him.
The Orb of Oblivion and The Amulet of Annihilation: During the War of Muirkuria, that started when Muirkurion called Leafar's Lordom a "nation of fleas", he claimed to have teleported to the heart of Muirkuria holding those two artifacts. I don't know what their powers are, but he said that if they touched they would destroy Muirkuria. Those artifacts were then taken from him by JMD031, that he called "Jumdo".
There will be more posts, but right now I need to take a break...

This was copied from Mairkurion {tm}, and it is his description of his nation that Leafar the Lost tried to take over. As I look back on it, he claimed that he was sending "12 Legions of Light" to battle him, but actually he did all of the fighting himself. During the "War of Mairkuria" I pictured it being east of the Lordom of Leafar.
Mairkuria, is a wonderful country in the Balkans, where I have my captial, and of course, my tower. We achieved independence from Venezia back during the Wars of Religion. Our style of architecture is Venetian. Luckily, we've managed to stay off of most maps, keeping us out of wars and free from tourists. Damn tourists. "Mairkuria...Mairkuria...you border on the Adriatic..."

About midway through the "DON'T REPLY TO THIS THREAD" thread, Leafar the Lost started castng spells, and one of them was the Light of Leafar. Yes, it's just "Sunburst" with a few words changed, but he thinks it's his own spell that he made up. He also wrote the following (before showing us his spell) about swearing not to use magic again:
I swore an oath an age ago to never use magic again, after it cost me everything I held dear in my previous life; I am about to break that oath now! This is a spell I created and named after myself, and I am going to cast it on everyone who has posted on this thread, after specifically told you not too! You gave me no choice...
THE LIGHT OF LEAFAR
Evocation [Light]
Level: Drd 8, Sor/Wiz 8, Sun 8
Components: V, S, M/DF
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Area: 80-ft.-radius burst
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Reflex partial; see text
Spell Resistance: Yes
The Light of Leafar causes a globe of searing radiance to explode silently from a point you select. All creatures in the globe are blinded and take 6d6 points of damage. A creature to which sunlight is harmful or unnatural takes double damage. A successful Reflex save negates the blindness and reduces the damage by half.
An undead creature caught within the globe takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (no maximum), or half damage if a Reflex save is successful. In addition, the light results in the destruction of any undead creature specifically harmed by bright light if it fail its save.
The ultraviolet light generated by the spell deals damage to fungi, mold, oozes, and slimes just as if they were undead creatures.
The Light of Leafar dispels any darkness spells of lower than 9th level within its area.
Arcane Material Component (optional): a piece of sunstone and a naked flame.

TOZ the TERRIBLE is a being that looks exactly like Leafar the Lost. Leafar calls him an "evil clone", but that is according to his point of view. He might just be a person that looks and dresses like him. However, TOZ must be very powerful/high level, because Leafar the Lost can't just throw him to the Outer Realms like he does everyone else who bothers him.

Jacer Moore Doom, 31th bearer of the title (I don't know, you come up with your own title...), usually called Jacer M.D., "More Doom" by his detractors and formally as JMD 31th (insert title here).
One of Leafars many, many enemies is the mercenary company Blood Tigers, lead by Vectorius Marravel, a powerul tigerman warrior and mage.

I approve of this message.

Yes, I approve too. If JMD is the 31st person to bear that title, then his family probably started their nation the same time Leafar, after the Cathechism over 1,000 years. The only difference is that Leafar is the same guy, and the years have driven him very, very insane. Since the two of them were able to cast Wishes at will and travel time, then each one is very powerful. But, JMD still has his sanity.
For some reason I am seeing Leafar the Lost mounting up another "war", but this time it will be against everyone and he will use his legions, and Lord Talonne Hauk is in command of one of those legions. He calls them the "Legions of Light", because he really thinks he that. He really believes that he must spread his "Light" across the world. He really does have the best of intentions. Really...

I just noticed, but you might want to rethink using the word "Cathechism". Catechism is a christian word meaning to teach about the Bible.
Yes, I was raised Catholic so I know about Catechism. I was thinking of a "cataclysm" that destroyed the world (Dragonlance) but I wanted it to be something far worse, so the word catechism came to mind. The Catechism was something really bad that happened 1,011 years ago on this world, but I don't know what it was. This is all from "Leafar's" point of view, and the dude is insane. When I am Leafar the Lost, I don't put too much thought into what he says. I am curious as to what it was myself...
