Having the GM star system is a fun way to keep track af how many scenarios we run... at least roughly.

Would it be possible to add a figure to incorporate a session counter in the sessions overview. That way it will be easier to figure out how many scenarios we have to run in order to gain a new star.

+1. The web server already has to do the check to figure out how many stars to display (unless it's been specifically overridden) :) * (21/30)

Yes please - that would make tracking your next star a lot easier.

If I counted correctly, I am 47/60, but I have at least 13 sessions to report for myself. Then I just need 20 more on my own, and have full tables for both Origins and GenCon to get my 4th star, and possibly my 5th.

More power to you if you want to get 40 more tables by the end of GenCon. I, for one, think you're a madman! :)

I can always open up 8-10 more tables at Dicehead Siege in Chattanooga if you want to get some more tables under your belt :) I'll even let you choose the games to run.

Dark Archive 4/5

Thanks, but I'm getting about 5-7 tables a month as is, so I should be good by GenCon :)

A month ago I was at 95/100. I've done 4 within the past week. Number 100 will be Cult of the Ebon Destroyers on May 22.

You had best pick up the pace if you want to be a 5-Star candidate. You should be a 4-Star before GenCon in order to be examined for 5-Stardom. GenCon sessions won't be reported for weeks/months (it's a BIG job). But Dicehead Siege should get you there in good order...

No one should be in a rush to get to 5-Stars, enjoy the journey, smell the roses. Once you get here there's nothing to look forward to, and it takes forever to get pizza delivered up here on this pedestal ;)

Some how Doug's post is hidden. Is thst some sort of secret 5-star ninja power?

I do agree with Doug though, that you should really try hard to get that 4th star BEFORE Gen Con if at all possible, even if it's just at Scotty's the night before.

If you are really close though, Mark/Hyrum may be willing to preemptively test you out for 5-Star

That said it has been mentioned that the GM Star system is changing in 3rd season.

I heard anyone from Texas, Georgia, or Iowa will not be eligible for their 5th star.

Yeah, no one bought me a beer at Atlanta Comic Con or ConNooga. If I don't get a free beer at Dicehead Siege, then I'm petitioning to make this happen :)

I should hit the 3rd star at Origins, I think.

29/30 would have 30 this past weekend but I opted to let a fellow GM run instead and I got to play Yea!! I should be on track for me 3rd Star by the end of the Year. Whoot

Thanks to WhosyerCon, DiceHead, Origins, GenCon, my FLGS, maybe DragonCon and PentaCon or another in Nov.

+1 to the idea. I did a calculation and it looks like I'm at 55/60 right now, 57 after this weekend, and 62 after the next. Now the trek to see if I'll get 100 before the end of the year.

I just reported session #5. Halfway to my first star :)

Silver Crusade 3/5

I hit 30/30 to get my second star just this last Saturday. Onward to that third star.

Awesome! I love to hear about new GM's in the OP.

Next to earning a 5th star, getting the first is awesome. It felt pretty cool to see it pop up on my PFS id card.

Good luck!

I still remember my first star. Hand drawn and signed by Josh at PaizoCon UK last year. Actually it took a little bit longer to appear officially as a big CON takes time to report.I still carry this ID card instead of the 2-Star one I'm entitled to in my PFS folder.

Yes - as Bob mentioned - the first one is special. Take care to make it special.

Kyle - I should take you up on the challenge

Thods meaning of 4:

Off course I don't mean 4 GM stars. There are enough GMs who have managed that.

You are a specialist in inflict pain on players.

My speciality is to have Taldoran players burn their faction mission in different scenarios. There is one pretty simple one where all it takes is to trigger a trap. But I achieved the same feat in two more scenarios - Prince of Augustana and Crypt of Fools.

So I have one more to go - just need to lure my Taldoran specialist to burn his next volatile mission and I should be done.

What's your count?

And yes - this is related to my not yet written answer to Kyle asks you.

@ Bob and Thod

Thanks! Yeah, I am definitely going to pick a good one for that 10th session.

I'd like it to be To Scale the Dragon. That was one of my favorites as a player. We'll have to see where my players are at though.

Hmm, that's interesting. If I apply myself I can hit my second star at Paizocon UK and maybe get Hyrum to sign it.
