Greetings, fellow traveller.
For my game I added an encounter with a Fossergrim frozen in a waterfall while exploring during their first winter.
They will meet him again in summer, when the ice melted away and get a quest from him.
I will also add an encounter with a Kelpie (posing as a poor drowning girl).
In addition I used a couple of the encounters mentioned in the other thread to strengthen the fey character of the land - it is just amazing who much time and effort player will spend on simple ice carvings looking similar to crop circles which were left after a celebration of coming spring by the local fey population.
