Necromancer Oracle Build Help

Advice

I want to build a necromancer with the Oracle of Bones. So far, the only way to pull this off seems to be Animate Dead/Create Undead, Raise the Dead, and Undead Servitude.

Oracles don't get access to Animate Dead until 6th lvl and Create Undead at 12th. This leaves Undead Servitude and Raise the Dead as the only alternatives until that point. I have no issues with Undead Servitude, but Raise the Dead seems to fall flat for me since the only scaling to the power is the ability to use it again at 10th lvl.

Help with understanding how to use what's given or information on what I'm forgetting would be greatly appreciated.

We're runnin wiht an oracle of bones in my viking game.

Essentially you want to look up the entries for sksletons and zombies and find the spells you cna cast while animating dead to mae different flavors of either. So in essence remove paralysis becomes necessary by 6th so you can call forth Fast Zombies. Desecrate is also necessary since it gives your dudes more HP.

As far as everything else dont take undead servitude. I dont think the necromancer i mentioned has made use of it since 5th.

Lastly get Leadership and definitely get a buddy necromancer with you so you can double the tricks you can pull. Sorcerer with Undead bloodline is amazing simply because of what he can do for your guys.

I also don't like create undead purely because you don't get auto-control over said undead. You'll have to command it and considering the checks and money involved you're better off finding some free roaming dead.

Now you ahve to consider your build in terms of feats and skills.

I could not find the spells linked to creating variant zombies/skeletons.

Personally, I like the RP value in creating undead that you then must gain control over. I also like the idea of daily checks on intelligent undead. Since the amount of undead you can control with Animate Dead is not counted towards Command Undead, you can control Oracle LVL HD of Intelligent undead and Oracle LVL *4 HD of zombies and skeletons.

As for feats and skills, the only feat that I can find to help Necromancers is Improved Channeling.

There aren't any specific spells. You just need animate dead and a couple other spells. The requirements are listed in the Bestiary under the variant skeleton and zombie entries.

Ultimate Magic has a few goodies for Necromancers. The animate dead, lesser spell lets an oracle create undead as early as level 4. You can then swap the spell for a different one once you learn the third level version of animate dead. Also, the Undead Master feat increases the limit of undead you can control with both your Command Undead feat AND animate dead by +4 levels.

JuJu mystery (Pathfinder Adventure Path #39 Serpent Skull City of Seven Spears)is great it gives some unique features like 6hd instead of 4hd when cast undead summoning spells and all are max hit points.Necromancy spells loose Evil descriptor and all undead are neutral unless they have a mind, then they are same alignment as caster.

there is also the feat Skeletal Summon that allows you to change summon monster to summon Human Skeleton and Skeleton Champion.

Skeletal Summoner is a good feat, with easy enough prerequisites.

Also, remember that as a Charisma-based caster, you're going to have a really solid chance at controlling other undead with Command Undead. It might even be worth sinking a feat into Ability Focus (Command Undead). Being able to possess enemy undead would be a strong tactic in the right campaign.

The JuJu oracle is also great, and it avoids the touchy moral issues that can come up when it comes to creating undead, since it's technically evil (something I don't agree with).
