Grand Lodge 4/5 *

Inspired by the Dud Scenarios thread, I thought I'd break out this one to gush about your favorites. Use spoiler tags as appropriate.

Personally, I have a soft spot for The Hydra's Fang Incident.

Spoiler:
Breaking out the seldom-used aquatic combat rules for the Sahaugin encounter was a blast. And my party was a total sucker for the that Disguise Self trap. The clues were there, but none of us picked up on them or thought to roll sense motive.

Delirium's Tangle!

Lantern Lodge 4/5

Caveat: anything I list as a favourite/unfavourite scenario will be from a GM's perspective.

I could probably find something memorable to recommend about most scenarios, even those that have been retired, but there is one stand-out: City of Strangers!

Warning - Spoilers:
  • The first scenario to feature the Shadow Lodge, makes this a must play scenario in terms of campaign arc.

  • Tiers 1-2, 3-4, 6-7 makes it a great scenario for new players and veterans alike.

  • The Pathfinder Chronicles: City of Strangers sourcebook is a must read if GMing this scenario, it has so much additional detail and inspiration, you'll kick yourself for not reading it first (I know I did!)

  • Doug Doug's additional notes add a whole new layer to this scenario.

  • Miss Feathers!

  • The roleplay opportunities within this scenario are endless!

Between the scenario, the sourcebook, Doug's notes, and your own GM style, I embelish the encounters a little more every time I run this scenario.

Part 1 is impossible to run within a 5hr session without going overtime - that's a recommendation, not a criticism!

Voices in the Void
Before the Dawn Parts I, II

Shadow Lodge 1/5

Pallid Plague
Delurium's Tangle
Voice of the Void
Rescue on Azlant Ridge/Bloodcove Disguise
Midnight Mauler--Cannot wait to run it, opened me up to the beauties of chases.

Personal favorite for personal reasons, Among the Living--

Spoiler:
First PFS module I ran. As I was prepping it, drawing out the Opera house by hand, I was listening to Nightwish's Century Child. Parts of it really fit the 'Opera' and got me really into it. It is also the only time as GM I sang.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 ****

My personal favorite is The Hersey of Man Trilogy.

Sovereign Court 5/5

Big fan, from both a player & GM view, Rebel's Ransom.

Spoiler:
This one is more flexible because of some of the Roll Playing possibilities so it is a very cool dungeon crawl. I like the water play too.

Silent Tide and City of Strangers were my favourites (as a player). Delirium's Tangle was pretty good too, but my character had a high enough skill check to pass every skill test in the maze by taking 10 so I think we skipped through it pretty fast.

Dark Archive

Infernal Vault followed closely by Azlant Ridge

Delirium's Tangle!

I still haven't gotten a chance to play that one yet. :(

I have to admit I think the Before the Dawn part 1 and 2 were my favorite mods to run. I loved screaming at the tables at GenCon 2010 there there were Pathfinders! in the bloodcove 45 minutes into the slot. Such fun. The look on the players faces was just perfect.

Liberty's Edge 5/5

I've only played in 4 scenarios so far.

The Infernal Vault
Mists of Mwangi
Delirium's Tangle
Before the Dawn, Part 1: The Bloodcove Disguise

So far, above and beyond, my favorite is the Before the Dawn, Part 1: The Bloodcove Disguise.

Spoiler:
We had 3 fighters, a ranger, and my battle oracle (two of the fighters were half-orcs and my battle oracle was a half-orc). We decided to play thugs to move about the city and hilarity ensued with that bit of roleplay

I thought the faction missions for my faction were cool, and the fact that neither one was a dumpster dive was nice.

I would like to purpose a new GM ranking system based on the length of your hair. This has a fantastic, self-serving purpose of pushing me to the front of the line for GM ranks while also stripping Bob of all his stars. Genius.

I've had fun with so many--thought that has as much to do with the table as the scenario.

I will select "Rebel's Ransom" as my favorite to date.

The most fun I had running had to be "The Flesh Collector"--again that had everything to do with the guys at the table and the role-playing that went on.

I want to be a Long Haired Hippy again after I am out of the Military... does that count?

Edit: Also I still have all my hair, it is just not on my head, it is in a plastic bag in a box..;)
