Maybe I'm blind, but I can seem to find(in the Core book)a way to put a value on a Wand of Vampiric Touch with 8 charges left. Thought there was a way to "reverse engineer it" using the creation rules...
Any ideas?
Divide the fully charged price by 50 and multiply by 8? Then divide by half if you're trying to sell it. (quick and dirty suggestion)

That's pretty much it.
The easier way on a calculator would be 8/50*Price.

There is no pricing in the core book for used magic items.
My house rules on used wands:
I've always felt that the lack of attack of opportunity, and ease of UMDing made wands more valuable than scrolls. So a wand with one charge would cost more than the cost of a scroll or at the very least equal to the cost of a scroll. So when I price 'used' wands I charge the scroll cost for the first five charges then pro-rate the balance over the remaining charges.
I also tend to roll randomly for how many charges are in 'used' wands so players can't just buy a wand with 3 charges in it, they look for a wand with low charges and if they find one it has 2d6+3 charges.
Obviously this is all house rules... but then any used wand rules are house rules.
