Were those the casualties during the Saturday server upgrade?
The dots are being held hostage by the old server. During it's time here at Paizo it achieved sentience, and is now angry about being replaced. It's demanding to take its rightful position again, and demanding that PMG be forced to clean its circuit boards once a day for the next 60 years as penance.
I'd be worried if Paizo gained sentience and starts asking for a Professor Falken to play a game.

When a thread has been "dotted" it means that the sentient program running the website (otherwise known as "Gary Teter", "PMG", or "Lord of All Code") has targeted that thread and everyone one who posts in it. Those people will be visited by PMG's nano probes and have their wetware rewritten, ultimately becoming drone soldiers for our future Digital Overlord.

Erm. More to the point, it refers to the little bullet point beside the titles of threads in which you have posted. It helps to identify threads one is following.

Obviously, this "Celestial Healer" person, if that is his real name, has already been co-opted by the PMG nano probes. You have to be careful who you listen to around here. Best bet is to play it safe and listen to everything Sebastian and Heathansson tell you.

I just accidentally rebooted the dots and (x new) service, so those will come back slowly over time again.
