Two questions:
1) Does the mist created by the RED SHROUD ability move with the assassin? Is it centered on the assassin?
2) The mother of one of my PCs is a Red Mantis Assassin. She will be contracted by Thuldrin Kreed, once the PCs become a pain in his ...!
Either Mother nor daughter (the PC) will know this, although the daughter believes her mother to be an assassin...
Anyway, once the fight is on, I plan to let Mother drop the fight, once she realizes whom she got contracted to kill and start thinking about her life. Whatever happens, out of this rose the question:
What, if a Red Mantis Assassin realizes, that she has to change her life and stop following her assassin career? Does she retain her Red Mantis PrCl abilities?!

1) I can't see how it isn't centred on the Assassin. The mist does not take up more than their space and is created by them. It would be pretty useless if it couldn't move with them.
2) I don't think a Red Mantis Assassin would lose their abilities. The class is not divine in nature but instead empowers people through training and skill. However, the bigger issue is whether the organization would allow someone to defect. They aren't going to look too kindly on that.
I'd say she loses Su and Sp abilites from the class, but not the others, and can't advance any more as an RMA. She also becomes marked for death by the Mantises. I see them as a "once you're in, there's no getting out" kinda organization, don't you?
No hard rules here, but leaving a group like that would be more dangerous than staying in, IMHO. She'd have to go into hiding.
there is an ex red mantis assassin I'n the rival guide. it looks like they can simply no longer progress I'n the prc.
