Some good gamin' soundtracks

Advice

GAR! I BE IN A BIT OF A RUT, MATIES!

I am currently running the Serpent's Skull AP and the Council of Thieves AP. My soundtrack repertoire is extremely limited at the moment to only a couple of film scores and the Morrowind soundtrack. I was hoping someone would have some advice on what would make for some great underscoring music for these APs respectively.

Thanks!

Silver Crusade

For CoT, I highly recommend the soundtrack to the flawed masterwork Arcanum: Of Steamworks And Magick Obscura. You can buy the game for cheap on gog.com, and the soundtrack files come with the game.

For SS, instead of music I prefer actual jungle sounds, which you can get from The FreeSound Project.

Liberty's Edge

I've done a LOT of research and work in this area. I've collected quite a few great soundtrack CDs, picked out the best gaming session tracks then burned them all to CD.

My group now has a 12 volume set of CDs filled with more than 200 great gaming tracks - over 14 hours ... not to mention really fun to listen to LOUD in the car :)

Here are the main soundtracks that make up the 12 disc set. By main, I mean there was a LOT of great stuff on these and I ended up choosing a significant number of tracks from each one. There are assorted single songs from a number of other soundtracks as well to round the collection out, but these CDs served as my primary sources:

Conan the Barbarian
Braveheart
The Cell
300
Lord of the Rings (all three)
Gladiator
Lost (TV show)
The DaVinci Code
King Kong (new one)
Pirates of the Caribbean (all three)
Last of the Mohicans
Alexander
Kingdom of Heaven
King Arthur
The 13th Warrior
Excalibur
Troy
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
Clash of the Titans
Prince of Persia
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (Kevin Cosner version)
Robin Hood (new one)
Star Trek (new one)
The Tudors
The 7th Voyage of Sinbad

A LONG and involved project, but it was worth it!

Of course, I'll still continue to pick up sountracks, so I can't rule out a Vol. 13 and 14 at some point ... :)

Kick ass! Thank you both for the suggestions! Feels good to have someone respond haha.

As for SS I began experimenting with the jungle sounds and crashing waves, but Youtube is limited haha, so thank you for the reference!

Check out the Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2 soundtracks.
There are some decent songs that you can apply almost everywhere.

Here are some samples. There are many more, but these are iconic, and you'll recognize them if you've played the games.

BG Main Theme
BG2 Main Theme
BG2:ToB Main Theme
BG Tavern Theme
BG Tavern Theme 2
Attacked By Bounty Hunters

Those are just a few. There are many to be had. Though I'd recommend getting them from another source, you might be able to use those links (and others - I think they're all uploaded) if you use a computer to play it.
