Hello,
I am working on a summer build. This is a PFS Halfling build. While I know the best build might be a summoner who can fight with my eidolon, I am not going for that. My question is though, other than buffing how can my summoner help? I was thinking I could stealth and either shoot a crossbow or use a wand of magic missile fairly well, but I open to other tweaks or ideas (Elyza, I am looking at you). My eidolon would be a quadped…some kind of cat that has a decent AC. I do not plan on making the eidolon large at any point.
STR: 5
DEX: 16
CON: 14
INT: 14
WIS: 7
CHA: 19
Other than the basic Halfling traits I would take Swif as Shadows. My traits would be to make Diplomacy and Bluff as class skills. My first feats would be Spell focus: conj, Augment Summoning, Skill focus: stealth, Hellcat stealth
Thanks,
Balsa

Oh god why?
5 strength? Let me do a calculation...
12 pounds. You can carry 12 pounds before encumbrance.
Your eidolon can carry stuff, but what if he gets bamfed to his home plane? With your stuff? You're encumbered by wearing a chain shirt. A. Chain. Shirt. For your size.
For you, knock that charisma down to 14-15. Do it, you don't need that many spells per day. All the charisma in the world wont help you if you're trapped by a heavy blanket. Get that nonsense up to 8 at least.

...be the role-playing face of the party
...add to combat with control spells...Use Magic Device
Skill Focus: Use Magic Device over Skill Focus: Stealth will probably add a lot more flexibility to your character.
Combine that with the level 10 (?) class ability to use two eidolon build points and put them into +8 with Stealth and UMD and you'll be gold in each.
Your weaknesses will be grapples and will saves. I'd expect you'll be rendered helpless on quite a few occasions. This may not matter as much with having a nice eidolon to play.

He can get by on 5 strength. I have a little gnome sorcerer in PFS with 5 str. Once you get your handy haversack, it's all good. You are not wearing armor with 5 strength at all, and possibly not carrying any weapons, but maybe a crossbow if you can squeeze it in. My sorcerer carries no weapons, no armor, a haversack, some belt pouches and some wands and he's pushing close to 10. Since it is PFS, you don't need to worry too much about daily supplies, but you want to leave about 4 pounds for mission gear. since you are small, all general goods sized for you are 25% weight, which will help. You could always have a wand of Ant Haul for occasions where you need to carry more (37.5 lbs for 2 hours)
As for build progress, I suggest you keep your use magic device at max for your level at all times. I took skill focus (UMD) on my gnome and carry divine and arcane wands. You may want to stick with acid splash for your ranged attacks when you can. You probably shouldn't burn two feats to get precise shot, so attacking touch AC is always better. For evolutions, you will want you guy keeping things off you, so maybe Claws(1), Improved Nat Armor (1), and maybe Improved Damage on Claws(1) to make everything a D6 across the board. That would make him look like this...
Starting Statistics: Size Medium; Speed 40 ft.;
AC: 16 = 10 + 4(NA) +2 (Dex);
Saves Fort:+3, Ref:+4, Will: 0 ;
BAB: +1,
Attack: bite +3 (1d6+2), 2 x Claws +3 (1d6+2);
Ability Scores Str 14, Dex 14, Con 13, Int 7, Wis 10, Cha 11;
Evolutions: Limbs (Legs)(Free), Limbs(Legs)(Free), Bite(Free), Claws(1), Imp Nat Arm(1), Imp Dam.(Claws)(1)
Spells:
0:
Light (save weight from mundane lights)
Detect Magic (I never like to be without this)
Read Magic (For using scrolls you find)
Acid Splash (Your ranged attack)
1:
rejuvenate eidolon (lesser) (In case the cleric is occupied)
Grease (I am always a fan of making enemies prone)
Scrolls to carry:
Mage Armor :(+4 AC for 1 hour for 25 gold. not too bad)
Endure Elements :(This comes up quite a bit. carry one for your pet too)
expeditious retreat: (good if you need a burst of movement, 20 is slow)
Reduce Person (gives you +2 more to hit with your acid splash and +2 AC)
Shield : (Shorter (1 min) but a good AC boost for big battles.)
Wands to shoot for:
Cure Light Wounds
Magic Missile
Prot From Evil
Mage Armor
Shield
Enlarge Person
If you like the wand route, spring loaded wrist sheathes are great. free action to draw.

You can get away with 5 Str (I preferred 7)
Take a combat trained pony (and at later levels a riding dog instead, they have trip). You stuff gets carried and so does the loot and you have a mount for speed.
Spell choice; Vanish can be nice
You have options; check out the forums in Giant in the Playground (or OOTS).
In combat you have options too..
Send in your cat knowing you can dismiss it as a standard action (do this rather than lose it for the day) - summon monster the following round for the flank for rogue etc...

So back to my main quesion...when not buff/debuffing (of course the cat is attacking) I would use a wand to attack. At my low levels (until I can buy and use a wand of magic missle level 3), I would just use acid splash. Also, I guess I can have a wrist sheath on each arm and thus 2 different wands I can get to easly. Did I miss anything?
Thanks,

A note about 5 strength though.
My girlfriend's cleric with 7 strength was one shotted in high tier game by a greater shadow (d8 str dam). Lots of animal poisons attack strength. my gnome nearly needed to be carried around after a snake bite. Any strength damage is a scary situation.
For any str low PC this can be true.
However the above halfling PC will be better off than your gf in that the halfling will likely not be seen by the shadows when they otherwise surprise the party.

*grin*
Chuckle.. but with hellcat stealth he's hiding in the safe, bright light.
