Hi people,
So, unbeknown to myself I've gone completely mad, well at least that's the easy answer I guess. What am I rambling on about? Well in addition to trying to run two adventure paths I thought I'd have a go at running one of the modules since I've never had a go at running one and single shot games do seem to be a little absent locally.

The module I intend to run is the Cult of the Ebon Destroyers and as such I'll be looking for three more players (I already have one lined up) to create an 8th level character for the game.

Character Creation
- Only classes and races found in the Pathfinder Core and APG
- 2 Traits
- Abilities assigned by normal purchasing rules with 20pts
- 33,000gp for purchasing equipment

Small Caveat: I'm always getting requests to play ninja, gunslingers and other weirder things, before asking please read the character creation section above.

I'd like the player's to create a group with a shared history in their background, something along the lines of an experienced group of adventurers come to Jalmery (the location of the adventure) to experience a local holiday as tourists.

Hey, I'm really interested in applying for this game. I don't have a character concept in mind yet, but I'll start working on it - I'm thinking a spellcaster.

I'm also interested--the concept I have in mind is a Chelish half-elf rogue who had to leave town in a hurry a number of years before (small matter of crossing the Council of Thieves), and has been adventuring since.

Here is an 8th level sorcerer I played in another game that I'd like to submit for consideration. I can go over her wealth and make sure everything totals 33k, if you are interested. Her profile contains all her information.

Thanks for considering her.

I'm submitting I'm just stuck between an alchemist or a cavalier.

Edit2: Definitely Cavalier.

Name: Farko Dogbreath
Alignment: NG
Class Cavalier(Order of the Shield) 8
Race: Halfling

Spoiler:
There comes a time in every halflings life where they must look back on their works and consider all that they have accomplished in life. Farko was the leader of his towns militia, he had trained over a hundred outrider's in his time and watched many of them eventually retire to have children, die, or otherwise take their talents and join professional armies where they did some of the above or went on to glory.

Farko, though loyal, headstrong, and a damn good outrider to boot, found that he had never really accomplished anything. Outside of warding off the occasional raid by monsters or bandits with his skills at blades and strategy he found that he had never had children, never fought a glorious battle to be remembered for ages, put down any serious threats, or even left beyond a few miles outside of his town.

Ultimately he decided he was too young to retire but too old to effectively rear a family. Putting in his resignation notice he set off to do something with his life, to take all his training and knowledge and do good in the world. He's never had a family and all of his fiends moved on to greater things or passed away. So with nothing but his sword, his tructy riding dog (or Deinonychus with your approval I'd love to get my dinosaur riding halfling from eberron on), and a strong heart to do what's right.

He met up with a group of adventurers and has spent many a small adventure cutting down goblins and kobolds and the like. Ever since he has treated them as he would any of those he has trained. Though they are often uunnerved by the halflings fatherly antics he has proven a stalwart and loyal companion worth fifty normal sized soldiers of his kind.

Just something simple and effective, good for a one shot.

I'll take a stab. This character was actually built a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away! Sorry...continuing on). Anyway, it was for another pbp, which died before it started, and strangely enough his backstory actually has him in Jalmeray.

I see your looking for connections between them all, I'm just not sure how he would be connected. Not real good at coming up with that kind of stuff.

Darnak

If you do decide it's cool and you decide to pick him up, I actually have him broke down to 8th level in Hero labs and can copy and paste it up.

(Also, sorry about the background. I got carried away. Which is rare and weird because I hate background most of all. I've never done any others that way since, and don't plan too. That's just waaayyy too much for me! I'm much more of a mechanics guy.)

If it doesn't work for you, no big deal. Just tossing it out there.

Thanks!

I'd like to throw in a CN elf wizardess with the Enchanter/controller specialization from the APG.

I'd like to apply as well.

I have a concept for a Monk/Fighter(Mobile Fighter?)

I surmise that backgrounds will be done after the players are chosen, for coherency?

Yeah background can be worked over once I've made some selections, I'll hit those up once the weekends over too so people who don't check their internet much over the weekend have a chance to submit :)

My concept is a human fighter with a focus on improvised weapons and other elements of adaptability. He's a little quirky, which leads some to believe he's not quite sane.

He's not leveled up yet, but I'm working on it.

Alright, this fellow is pretty much done.

Here is my character, his statistics will go up here soon: Merilon Wandwright

Following TarkXT's format

Name: Merilon Wandwright
Alignment: NG
Class Witch, patron of strength 8
Race: Human

Background:
Before Merilon was even old enough to remember her face, his biological mother passed away. His father was absolutely distraught, and in response dedicated himself completely to his religious duties. Merilon barely even knew his father during this time but this religious fervor would fade away when his father fell in love and married and Elf witch.

Merilon finally gained the attentive parents that a child deserved, as he grew up he and his family were victims of the prejudice that targets families that breaks norms of both religious observance and interracial relationships. After three years of marriage Merilon father died and his mother moved him and his newborn baby brother to a large city nearby where she could make a living.

There she crafted and sold wands and other magic items, helped by her two sons, and provided other magical services for a fee. They were more accepted in the city than they had been in their little town, but life was hard and money was often tight and they never quite fit in. When Merilon turned 17 he received a vision that called him to the same mysterious path that his mother had followed. Soon afterwards his patron sent a dove to be his familiar, and he started to be tutored by his mother.

He continued to work alongside his mother and brother for years until * The Chosen Adventuring Party * came through the city. Urged by another mystical vision he joined them in their search through the city for a murderous doppelganger. Feeling guided from the mystical beyond he joined them on their adventuring.

Recently his dove familiar was slain, and in return for his service, his patron has rewarded him with a Cassisian Angel as a companion. Merilon feels it is his duty to stand up for those who can’t stand up for themselves, but is always hesitant to follow a political or religious leader. While he may have joined up with this group later, he has already found a place where he feels like he fits in.

Sorry guys, I've actually found that I'm just not feeling this module as much on reflection and so far there doesn't seem to be much interest. Instead I think I might do another AP once I've done some further reading and run that instead. Apologies to everyone who put their names int he hat and if you're interested keep a keen eye out for the third AP going up.

It happens. Better you figured that out before the game started, and thanks for letting us know.

It's a shame I already leveled up Serad, it's going to be a pain to fix. Still, sh**/life/boredom happens. :P

Well, I'm not going to say I'm not disappointed. But a message for the universe: Anyone out there interested in running this module (or something similarly leveled)?
