I have downloaded PDFs without difficulty to my itouch but just recently bought an iPad 2 and am unable to download any of my PDFs. When I try it says Safari is unable to download this file.
I see that several people are using their iPads for Pathfinder PDFs and am hoping someone might have some insight into what I am doing wrong. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Paizo PDFs come zipped. Install Goodreader or some other program that is capable of reading .zip files and it will send the files to those programs.
Safari actually hangs and crashes on the download. (The normal behaviour was to finish the download and offer to open it in goodreader.)
I suspect it has something to do with the 4.3 firmware. They changed a lot of the underlying mechanics of safari, so they probably broke it.

I just downloaded and opened up the Inner Sea World Guide from Paizo.com last night on my iPad 2. Are you using an iPad 1? I could see an issue with it crashing if you're opening a massive PDF like the Inner Sea World Guide.

I am using an iPad 1, the 2's are not available in canada until tomorrow.
That being said I downloaded the PDF directly to the device before, I just can't get the revision, I haven't tried a different file to see if it is just the one file and not others. But the only other change is the firmeware which had a big overhaul for safari. There are several similar threads for big file crashes in safari over at apples support site.

I haven't downloaded 4.3 yet so I can't say anything about that. I do know that I've purchased PDFs and used them directly using my iPad and Goodreader, beyond that you're on your own. Maybe stop by an Apple store and see if they can help you.
Ogre, thanks for the advice on good reader. I was able to download my PDFs and as mentioned above, once it was downloaded, it asked if I wanted to download to Goodreader--worked great.
