Liberty's Edge

Wonders of the Universe, hosted by Professor Brian Cox.

Nothing new here, if you're already science-literate; but absolutely stunning images and awesome effects. Professor Cox is a great host. He seems so genuinely happy and in love with science, it's infectious. I can't recommend this short four episode series enough.

Great soundtrack, too.

Too right. Will bring back awe and wonder to even the most jaded cynic.

I love Brian Cox. I think in a lot of ways he is the new Attenborough or Sagan.

O.o!

I've seen something-or-other Dr. Cox was in over here in the U.S. ... it was either on the Discovery Channel (which gets in bed with the BBC all the time) or the Science Channel (which is owned by the Discovery Channel, which I've heard gets in bed with the BBC all the time).

It mighta'-coulda-been "Wonders of the Universe" but I wasn't sure.

I was trying to figure out what he'd worked on I'd seen, so I checked him out on Wikipedia and found out he served in an advisory position for the motion picture Sunshine, which was awesomesauce.

I like Brian Cox!

He's a musician too. That version of "Across the Universe" in episode two is cool as heck.
