Not much; this room is relatively empty.
The tracks in the dirt from the southeastern doors suggest they lead outdoors. These doors have a strong bar, which is currently slid aside.
The walls of this room are wooden palisade, packed with mud. Closer inspection reveals that most of the wood seems to have been scavenged from ships—a few nameplates remain affixed to some of the timbers, while others look like they might have once been masts.
Light is filtering in from holes in the ceiling, where the flotsam has warped or never bridged the gap. Puddles form below these holes, in the earth floor.
A number of poorly preserved horse and dog heads are mounted along the eastern wall, while along the southern wall hangs a pair of large batlike wings tacked to the wall with daggers.
Keep in initiative for now, just in case...

DarkOne the Drow |

Valoria stand more into the room (NE of O), looking around for any activity by the doors, particular the double door where the swordsman was standing next.
"I stand watch here. Guard that double door, while someone searches the swordsman. We still need to search that nasty goblin too for valuable information. Also need to check their rooms for information."
She will use daze on anyone that enters the room.

Okay, assuming Galstok has just knocked the guy to the floor, Sephird has moved to bar the south-eastern door, Valoria is readied against any incoming enemies, that leaves Ensu and Tregar to act this round.
Ensu crosses the room from the top of the stairs*, and presses his ear to the door.
"I can leave them a surprise, if they come this way."
*He was nearer the stairs than I thought, so he got to the top last round.

You hoist the body off the floor, ready to start moving as one.
Sephird lowers the beam into place on the double doors. The breeze from outside carries the salt spray, and you can see through a crack that the ground outside slopes away toward the rope bridge. You see no goblins outside, though the field of vision is narrow.

![]() |

There's an angry goblin who's rushing across the room at Sephird, across the path of your daze.
Goblin Will save 1d20 ⇒ 19
Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Damage 1d4 ⇒ 1
Damn, I think the boss should sack the officers and keep the goons...
Behind him is another goblin, who steps in cautiously, after testing the door (by throwing a pickle at it).
New map to follow soon.
Sephird next.

Sephird Brookside |

Sephird turns and smiles at the goblin, "come to meet your fate, dog-lover?"
rapier 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
shortsword 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
damage-rapier 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
damage-shortsword 1d6 ⇒ 1
Sephird will then slid 5' along the wall/doors NE of his current location.

Do you know your rapier attack should be +5(+3 when TWF), damage 1d6? Masterwork gives +1 to hit, not damage.
"Glurk!" goes the goblin, as it ducks under the rapier, and onto the second blade. It falls to the floor, clutching its side.
The second goblin appears peturbed.
Next up is Galstok/Tregar.
Is he going to continue lugging the body downstairs?

Galstok |

Sorry about delay.
Hearing Ensu's warning then the sounds of combat breaking out again, Galstok drops legs of the body before running back of the stairs past Tregar. Drawing a javelin from over his shoulder he clears the stairs and enters back into the room, hurling his missile at the goblin standing there in the open.
Attack:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage"1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Ensu steps round the back of Galstok, to stand in front of Valoria.
"He won't get away!"
Spear attack 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20
Confirm 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19
Damage 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7
The spear goes through leather, and into the goblin's gut, nailing it to the door frame. It clutches at the shaft, coughs blood, then slumps to the side, still held partially upright.
That deals with the last one. There's a short pause, while everyone catches their breath and looks round. You can finish off the wounded if you want, listen for further interruptions, and then cover your tracks.

To Valoria and Ensu;
"I'll be able to work faster if I know someone's watching my back."
"Bodies out of here first, I think. Into the junk room. Then we clean up any trace of a fight; bloodied sheets, anything used as a weapon.
Once we're done, we can drag them to the squid's cave at our leisure, and wait for the morning."

It's time for everyone to consider how they'll be levelling up, though the changes won't happen till the morning.
How does everyone want to do hp? Average, rounded up?
I'll assume everyone has been practicing any new abilities before now, and Valoria has the means to update her spellbook.
How does anyone feel about changing the name of the thread? I obviously have to find out if it's even possible.

Valoria Grundmire |

Valoria will stand guard while others clean up the messy scene above and below.
Seeing that the forums don't have private messages I have no idea how you contact the moderators.
I have ink, for updating, though short of having a library or scrolls to get new spells.
HP, I fine with what ever method is use.

A few times, you and Ensu believe you can hear movement to the north, and once a dog or wolf makes a short howl.
Seeing that the forums don't have private messages I have no idea how you contact the moderators.
I have... channels. Top men.
I have ink, for updating, though short of having a library or scrolls to get new spells.
If I were being a hard-ass 1st Edition Gygax-DM, I'd make you travel back to Cheliax to level up, but I'm not. The RAW these days assume you've been working on several projects during the previous level, and only now have the 'Eureka' moment to add the final touches to two of them.

Galstok |

Average rounded up sounds good with me. Did you want to stick to just the core rulebook like AJ had it or broaden what's available? If the name can be changed by all means. You're running the show now. I know they had mentioned doing some stuff for people who have inherited campaigns, just can't remember the details.
Once we get everything cleaned up and moved, Galstok will move some of the crates and barrels to build a barricade in front of the doors.

Well, I certainly wasn't using Core only, so I can hardly complain.
I tend to rely on the PFSRD during the day, which is usually quite up to date. I've not really sat down and read the material in UM and UC, so I don't know if there are any issues. If it's available to read online, then go for it. If there are any FAQ or errata, I'll let you know.

Character updated.
What's new?
I assume you've taken favored class twice to skill points, and I can tell where three of your skill points went, on the skills with +8 mods. Some new knowledges and a new language? You should have access to a fourth cantrip.
What new spells did you learn?
This is all stuff you'll be quizzed on in-character, too, since they'll have a boring afternoon, sat in a cave watching you write.
