It is the idea of catching him before he reaches thistletop and has time to plan for our arrival. That's what I'd do at least

"We don't know when he left or where a good point to try to cut him off would be based on that, so catching him before he reaches his friends is unlikely to be a worth while endeavor. Let's get Ameiko some help, and finish searching the place to see if he left any clues as to his activities, and we can hit this Thistletop en masse once the sheriff gets back and town has a way to defend itself without us being present. Haste in this case would most likely cause more trouble for us than anything as both Ameiko and the town need our assistance."
"Well said. We did give our word we'd look after the town. Don't suppose they'd be impressed if we went gallivanting off into the Thistlewood."
Ameiko move over to Kendrick and takes his arm. "May I lean on you Kendrick. I feel rather unsteady at the moment"

"Of course my lady, it'd be my honor. Let us depart this foul place with all speed and return you to the comfort of your quarters" replies Kedrick.
He observes her to see if she could use any more healing. If so he'll cast cure light wounds
Ameiko seems ok, just badly traumatised. Kedndrick and Ameiko head off back to the surface and the comfort of the Rusty Dragon tavern. As she departs, Ameiko turn to you all. "Be careful, please...I'll await you at the Dragon."

"Let's clear the rest of this place out first just to make sure we don't leave any goblins running loose."
All those still in the cellar You stand at the corner of an 'L' shaped corridor. To your North is the way you have come. Away to the East the corridor travels straight for 70' before turning to the left and heading North (prsumably to join up with the steps that brought you down here.
Away from you along the East corridor are two more wooden doors, on the right hand wall, at aproximately 30' and 40'.

I make way for those leaving the celler and then pull out my sword, putting away my bow. Let us finishing clearing any remaining goblins out then shall we?

The light reveals a room that appears to have been used as a temporary sleeping quarters. An unmade sleeping cot, a table with several candle stubs and the bones of chickens and rats lie scattered across the floor. A small, leather-bound book sits upon the bed.
"I think that's what you were after, Ensu. Do you want to read his deluded ramblings, or shall I?"

Seeing no sign of the beasts, Galstok lets the others continue their assesment of the room and moves to the next door.

He steps in, giving the bed a wide berth, before checking under it for hidden goblins, with the sharp end of his 'tickling stick'.

The door here is wide open and reveals a square chamber beyond; empty apart from bits of rubble. On the far wall of the chamber is a hole in the rock that gives way to a 10' wide tunnel that snakes away to the North winding though the bedrock below Sandpoint.

Send her freaks up from below via the smuggling tunnel in my father’s Glassworks, and then invade from the river and from the Glassworks in smaller but more
focused strikes. The rest except Bruthazmus agree, and I’m pretty sure the bugbear’s just being contrary to annoy me. My love’s too distracted with the lower chambers to make a decision. Says that once Malfeshnekor’s released and under her command, we won’t need to worry about being subtle. I hope she’s right."
Most of the drawings of the woman are the same although the last one depicts her with demonic hands, bat wings, horns, a forked tail, and fangs. Accompanying these sketches is the following - "My love seems bent on going through with it—nothing I can say convinces her of her beauty. She remains obsessed with removing what she calls her ‘celestial taint’ and replacing it with her Mother’s grace. Burning her father’s remains at the Thistletop shrine seems to have started the transformation, but I can’t say her new hand is pleasing to me. Hopefully when she offers Sandpoint to Lamashtu’s fires, her new body won’t be as hideous. Maybe I’ll luck out. Succubi are demons too, aren’t they?"

There seems to be nothing else hiding within the chamber of any interest that you can see.
@Ensu: are you reading that out, or summarising it for the rest of us? I don't want to comment on something I don't know.

Sorry I wasn't posting much, I was trying to get a good enough idea of what was going on and town background and such that I wouldn't look like a complete rube with my posts. I believe that I am decently caught up and will post more often now.
I follow the others around rather more stealthily not talking or making much noise, i figure if we do run into another band of goblins then there should be no reason that they should know how many of us their are.

It looks like there has been some travel down this passage relatively recently. From the looks of it, both goblin and human sized.

"How recent? If they are recent enough to possibly catch whoever made them, by all means, let's follow. Otherwise, I would suggest not leaving the town open to go on what would probably end up being a pointless chase."
"I think we'll probably go as far as the beach and back, if these are smugglers' tunnels. Shouldn't take long, and we need to be sure there are no more prisoners left behind."

With Ensu's agreement Galstok returns to the other room and proceeds cautiously down the tunnel, not even thinking about if the others are following or not.
The tunnel seems to wind lazily on a North Easterly route. Drips of water fall occasionally from the roof as the passage inclines down the further you progress. There are no torch sconces that you canmake out along the walls but there are signs of smoke marks on the ceiling.

Ensu follows Galstok, crossbow ready. As it goes down, he starts to get concerned, but keeps his thoughts to himself, preferring to focus on more immediate concerns like group safety.

Noting the smoke stains on the ceiling, Galstok strains to hear any signs of movement ahead of them.

You travel on, for what seems like an hour or more, until ahead of you can be seen a glimmer of daylight.
