Halfling race considered for PFS play. Thoughts on using sling or sling-staff as weapon considered (with my handy-dandy Cleric of Chaldira on the way). Went to message boards to find answers on slow-as-molasses load times on sling/staff sling.

And now: MIND BLOWN.
So, I looked through half a dozen threads on this topic. Not one thread included an official Paizo or PFS answer - lots of house rules suggestions, no concrete answers.
The best I got was:
1.) Warslinger lets you reload faster, but you take AoOs and it requires two hands. (must trade-in sure-footed racial ability)
2.) Ammo Drop and Juggle Load feats get you loading your sling as a free action with 1 hand and no AoO. (but it costs two feats)
3.) Rapid Reload is suggested to be allowed for slings/staff slings AND crossbows. (house rule)
4.) Quickdraw applies because sling can be considered a thrown weapon. (no concrete "yes!" from paizo, so house rule?)
So my mind-blowing questions are as follows:
Does Quickdraw in the case of slings apply?
Do the Quickdraw/ Warslinger/ Ammo Drop-Juggle Load options apply to the Staff Sling?
Do feats such as Rapid Shot apply to Slings/Staff Slings?
Please Help!

Looking to see if Quickdraw applies to loading sling ammunition.
Also looking for an explanation on if a Staff Sling counts as a Sling for purposes of Warslinger/Ammo Drop/Juggle Load.

Quick Draw does not apply to loading a projectile weapon. Quick Draw allows you to draw a weapon as a free action. It has nothing to do with loading ammunition into a projectile weapon, such as a sling or staff sling. If it's any consolation, it's already a free action to draw the ammunition.
Rapid Reload, as written, applies to crossbows and nothing else. In PFS, you should not expect a GM to permit it, although some might. It is generally a bad plan to build a character in organized play that relies upon a rule that is subject to table variance unless you're prepared with different tactics. In this case, the rule is specific and asking a GM to permit it for something else is creating confrontation.

Rules resource that specify the weapon "sling" are subject to GM interpretation about whether they apply to staff slings as well. In PFS, that means some will reasonably allow it and others will reasonably not allow it. Be prepared for both options. Maybe have a sling and a staffsling and use the better of the two with the feats, based on GM ruling. If the cost of the variance is too great in your eyes, maybe consider a different build.

Are you playing with a local group or is it an online play/ random convention thing?
My suggestion is talk to your event coordinator/ or most active GM and see what he says. Paizo doesn't have the staff to rule on every specific issue that crops up with character design.
I would also love to see some official thoughts on this exact issue for a PFS character but I'm not holding my breath or delaying my character. Worse case scenario I have to do some minor rebuilding down the road if I made the wrong call. (You might also talk to your local coordinator about that).
If you don't have a local coordinator/ regular GM (for example the online collective) my suggestion is you stay out of the gray areas. There are plenty of valid character build choices out there that don't dabble in the gray.
