What if the Majority want your Government Gone?

So you are in government. Your so called Democracy is despised by the Majority of the population. How do you stand against the Majority even if they want to ditch your representative government (and the police and army that keep the angry masses in line) in favour of self representative Government?

Invoke the war measures act. Until I lose the confidence of the house or it is time to call an election they are stuck with me. If they don't like the Westminster system they can wait 4 years and try to amend the constitution.
